On the other hand, when does a bicycle become a motorcycle? When it starts weighing over 100 pounds, perhaps? My son-in-law has an electric bicycle that does 35 mph and weighs around 100 pounds. (It only gets pedaled downhill.)

When does a bicycle become a motorcycle? I'd say - when it doesn't have pedals. I think some states/countries have that in their DMV regulations (vague memory of seeing this type of definition).

they always ask me how many CC my "bike" has - I say its a Zero - it has zero CC - can I use the cycle lane ? end up paying rego fees for 100CC or so m/cycle here in Oz
