Per SEC filing on April 4 - Damon is outsourcing their engineering - Damon contracted Engines Engineering S.p.a. (“EE”), an Italian corporation specializing in vehicle engineering, design and development, to provide such services for development of the Company’s HyperSport electric motorcycle (the “Project”).

Under the Agreement, EE will be responsible for delivering services in multiple areas including technical compliance, component selection, development and validation testing, and prototyping. The Project is structured into nine development phases continuing through March 2026, with specific milestones and deliverables required at each phase.

The total contract value of the Agreement is €1,581,670, with half of the amount invoiced on the date of the Agreement, and the remaining half tied to milestone-based deliverables for each phase of the Project, to be invoiced in installments following the Company’s acceptance of the corresponding phase.

Pursuant to the Agreement, all work product developed under the Agreement will be owned by the Company upon full payment for the applicable phase, while EE retains ownership of its pre-existing intellectual property and grants the Company an irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive, worldwide and paid-up license to use such intellectual property and create derivative works from it when used as part of or in support of the work product developed under the Agreement.

perhaps i am missing something here but i was under the impression that the damon bikes were already a proven thing, ready to go.  This is sounding like they are still trying to develop it and proof of concept or something.

why racing?  do they think they have enough of a market to sustain them racing e bikes?  watching energica, it should have become obvious, that unfortunately e bikes on the moto gt were more of a novelty and not so much the next upcoming thing.  10 million won't last long at all in that world.  i wonder if you'll ever see one of their superbikes on the street thru normal means.

Aaron - first hope you are recovering and feeling better. I thought the same - Damon is contracting an engineering to develop the Hypersport. Sounds like they do not have an actual Hypersport prototype yet - I read somewhere that the Damon demo bike was a Mission with Damon body work but who knows. Their stock is trading at .0031 a share - 31 thousandths of a penny. NASDAQ sent them a delisting notice.

Luckily the experia is an easy to ride bike and my thumb cast looks like a black riding leathers, glove set.  Dialing the brake lever in reach is eazy peazy and the cast actually acts like a throttle holder, cruise control.  i'll not get into detail, in case my doctor is reading.    hoping to get back on the track by ehh may ish.  Have an event with Nate Kern  a bit later, i really don't want to miss, it's more fun actually being able to ride and not the pit coffee bitch !!  Soon as the thumb is off i can deal with the tendon on the other hand.

so, what bike did apollo get?  was told it was a street ready bike, they said, now it looks like it was the cancer ridden prototype, which would explain the battery issue and the silence around it.

i remember them saying somewhere that their ultimate 'race bike' that racers were complaining that it was too fast so they had to tone them down or something ridiculous like that.  Too Fast?  stop cranking the throttle so hard derp... i mean that was a totally assinine comment there. Every racer I have talked to is always lamenting over not having a few extra hp.   Unless it meant the bike was poorly designed and at those speeds was a death trap.

They were delisted once before i thought, and back on again, going off again?

All in all, I really would have loved to get with Apollo and romped with him side by side with the EGO to have some fun, as that was about the only other bike that sounded like it could even touch Energica's league.  Who knows, maybe one day still.

Aaron, You brought up a point I have wondered about for a long time. Why a sport bike? Why not some sort of a standard like either an Esse or a Ribelle configuration? Lightening is the same way, only went with a sport bike configuration with no other variations. I love the performance of a sport bike but this old body has a hard time getting into that riding position. A few years ago I had an Ego as a loaner for a few weeks while my Ribelle was in the shop and that was the only issue I had with the Ego. Just struggled to get settled into that crouch every time. But I guess fast sport bikes look really cool and if you are trying to sell performance that is the image you want out there. But when it comes to convincing people to put out their cash it becomes a much tougher sell compared to something that is a bit easier to get on.

But it wasn’t supposed to be just a sport bike! That’s one of things I actually found appealing way the ergo change from sports bike to a nice upright city bike. Two bikes in one at only double the cost!

ultra, i second that on the ego.  if you need raw performance curdle your piss out of the gate, yah the ego will do just that and it's a bit harder to wheelie, which is good, but the body position ugh!!  Sometimess id get out a little early and have to wait, and it's like oh come ON already let us GO!!  HOLY SHIT this is uncomfortable and im cramping up!!  the ribelle now being upright was a lot easier on the muscles AND if you needed you could race hunch down.   it wouldnt be the perfect full aggression racers stance but good enough for my ameteur ass plus my feet touch the ground a little better.  being on toes maneuvering the bike is Not fun.  especially if you are on the road, get one uneven spot or pot hole and you don't have a foot firm and being forward weighted like that... ya,  boy!!! you gonna have a bad day ere!!
