Pacific, Graft and Explosion, along with the other two major electricity providers in California have come up with a new rate plan. Next year they will start charging their customers a base flat-rate fee based upon the customer's household income, ranging from $31 a month to $92 a month, plus their regular power consumption charge. The article that I read today says that it will hurt solar panel customers the most, some who are paying very little each month because they feed power back into the electrical grid for a credit at night when power consumption is up and solar wind farms producing electricity are down. They say they just want their solar power customers to "pay their fair share".     Leave it to the utility companies to come up with new and creative ways to increase their profits.

PG&E gets tp pay $0.02/kWh for any excess solar energy we send them, which they turn around and sell for $0.40/kWh. In addition, they get to charge a monthly connection fee regardless of whether the customer is a net generator or consumer. Now the connection fee is going up dramatically, unless you're not grandfathered in (that will prevent too much political blowback). The CPUC is all in on this crime.

Both CA's governor and the state's PUC do seem to be in PG&E's pocket, based upon over a hundred year's of history. And nothing seems to be changing so far.

Florida Power and Lighting is trying all kinds of nasty shit to rape their customers as well.

I can go totally grid free with the flip of a switch and never see them again if I wanted but they also have laws passed saying that you MUST be connected (for your safety)... because THEIR power is oh so much more reliable than yours.

I get so sick of seeing these commie bastards with their 'fair share' bs.  Ok, when you pay YOUR fair share of the price of these panels and battery bank back to me, THEN I'll consider paying my 'fair share' back to you.   When YOU can deliver stable reliable electricity without telling me, when, where and HOW I am allowed to use it, THEN I'll consider sharing back with you.

Better yet, get OFF my property, stay AWAY from my stuff and you'll live to see another day.
