Apollo: The internet is *pissed* on your behalf.

Suggestions from the thread:

Actually the best is to find out which local news station has a Consumer Hotline.

Often manned by retired Karen's, they will make a company's life hell

And the local news gets a cheap filler segment while looking like they care about consumers.

Use Martindale-Hubbell to find a local lawyer. Nobody's legal referral on public forums means shit.

Look into a guy in Australia who bought a jeep that was a lemon. He went public with it and it had a fairly big following but there might be some options he explored that might assist this situation.

No way this would stand up in court. Storage would not be costing the $50/day for a single bike. This would be considered "punitive" in nature. They are only doing this as a "scare". While they are entitled to charge for a "storage fee", it would have to be a reasonable cost. A single storage locker would not be $50 a day and you could argue that a storage shed for a single bike would only be maybe $100 a month, if that.

And $25,000+ repair bill? How much is the bike worth? Is it a super rare Ducati Desmosidici or some other over $100,000k bike? $35k total repairs would put this into a MotoGP class of bike repairs and any normal bike would be a write off...

Msrp on the bike is 26k if those was a repair its totaled. Let the insurance company figure it out

Apollo deserves respect just for his patience and restraint, most of us would have been slagging off Lightning from every street corner by now. Truly hope they do the right thing by him and either return his money or a fully working bike.

They don't have a working bike.
They never will have a working bike that actually 'works'
The money long went up his nose off the ass of a hooker, there is no money to refund.
Id sue, they lay claim to the business, place a lien on them and go after whatever tools etc they may have that tickle your fancy when the inevitable bankruptcy hits.

Okay so I was able to file two complaints claiming I’m the friend of the buyer using the information provided in the post. One to the local news station and one to the state board of customer affairs. The state needed personal information to contact the person so I did one anonymously.

Your temporary Online Tracking Number is: CIC_CU-20250606-67978 for the state complaint.
