Renting an ICE bike for long trips
« on: April 11, 2016, 01:20:36 AM »

Hey all! Any SoCal people who can recommend a place to rent an ICE bike for an upcoming Yosemite trip I'm planning? Since I got rid of my car, I LOVE my ZERO DSR, but I figured with the savings I could afford to rent an ice bike for the weekend when I want to tour.

Any leads appreciated! I found a spot or two on Google, but nowhere was really cheap..

Cheers!

I don't know about SoCal leads/locations, but a V-Strom 650 or BMW 650GS are very good rentals for wilderness-oriented motorcycle rental. I've rented a V-Strom from Auckland and San Francisco reasonably.

In November last year I visited LA and rented a bike from this guy: http://www.ride2rideagain.com/
You pick up the bike at his apartment so it's not some big rental company but he is a super friendly guy and the bike (Suzuki C50) was in perfect shape.

What kind of bike are you looking for and for how long do you want it?
