that's one thing that sucks about the bike,  if it goes over, pretty much a guarantee the brake handle is borked,  50 / 50 rear brake takes it in the keyster too.  let us know how the ali part fits for you

in livewire you have to replace whole lever which is cost over 100$

here, you can always buy round piece of aluminium and drill into it, I considered to make my own on lathe but for 4-5$ its pointless


crash was huge, bike is total loss by insurance (13k euro) , but I start to repair it and  for now costs are:


- original wheel - 200euro (wrong wheel - i have to send it back - i lost 25euro)
- 2x disc brakes 300euro (new NG, one brembo is ok, so this still has some value
- original brembo brake pads (one pad is missing and still they are 24k km already so anyway I have to replace) 80eur
- foot brake lever 4euro
- right side of front suspension - 200euro (probably I can order custom down tube for less and it will work but decided to buy spare), old one will be for parts)
- cnc alu mirrors aliexpress 33$ - original are destroyed (ducati or similar are even cheaper but I really dont like it how original ones was mounted and also dont like how they look
- cnc alu turn signals aliexpress 30$ (fork mount) I considering go with rizoma but maybe when I repair fairings
- abs pump 150$ (it will be cheaper if abs module was still there - during crash it was lost, nobody find it )
- front fender (ducati plastic locally cost about 40-70euro, I am cosidering go with carbon one from aliexpress bcoz its cheap but will see)


TOTAL cost about 1000euro

repairs:
- bent headlight mount
- bent lcd mount
- bent a lot of mounting points to fenders/abs pump and pegs (probably for pegs I have to cut it and weld it back, bcoz I its very robust/rigid there)
- bent seat a little
- fairings are broken but I think I can repair it for cheap (acetone welding/plastic welding)

my experia is going thru that process with insurance and all, but it's in the states so don't think it can help you.
might want to hold onto it and as others crash, might be able to piece together a new bike.

crash was on year ago, broken leg and cut of pinky , one month in hospital, after that time I still limping a little but it will be better


car cut me off, and when i try to avoid contact, I hit curb, my hand slip and locked on throttle so hit wall and incorectly parked car with even more speed

bike flys 20-25meters and my body about 10m


I saw smaller crashes with total desctruction of bikes, I am still amazed - almost "nothing" happened to bike

oh i know it's crazy.  when i look at the wreck i had with my ego and both me and the bike got out of it, in not too bad of shape all things considering, its stunning what a bike can survive, and a person if they are protected properly.  A lot depends on how the bike goes down and stays down.  If it leans over to a side and slides, you might get lucky, but if it starts somersaulting and doing cartwheels then yah you are pretty screwed.   I think that it's weight might help a bit there, when it leans over it's so heavy its less likely to start flipping but rather stay on that side and drag.
