Disc brakes - floating vs. solid discs
« on: January 14, 2023, 09:47:33 PM »

This is an interesting short discussion regarding how floating disc brakes differ from solid disc brakes and why a semi-floating disc is better than full-floating discs for street riding:

Its great to brought up the difference between floating and solid disc brakes. It's an important factor to consider when purchasing a bike, whether it's an electric motorcycle or a traditional bike. I've had experience with both types of disc brakes, and I can definitely say that floating disc brakes provide better stopping power and are less likely to warp or crack. Reading detailed reviews like this before buying would help people.

However, if you primarily ride for leisure or commuting, a solid disc may be sufficient.
