The range safety officers are safe in the lead dust, but not the smoke?

Only CA worries about lead bullets. This is NV!

Guns is another one of my several hobbies. I was testing out a new binary trigger on a 5.7 x 28 mm rifle converted to .22LR.

Were going to get along just fine. 8)  5.7 rifle you say... Did you build yourself a CMMG Mk57?

I just heard that the Park Service was closing Yosemite this afternoon for the same reason.   :(

They were reporting AQI above 650 in the valley. Check out some of the parks webcams tomorrow:
https://www.nps.gov/yose/learn/photosmultimedia/webcams.htm. Today on the tunnel view cam you could barely make out the trees on the other side of the road.
Seems the higher elevations are still clear, Tuolumne meadows still has blue skies.

Yes! I own everything ever made in 5.7 x 28 mm  that is legal to own. I also have the CMMG 5.7 Banchee pistol. Both colors of the FN FiveseveN pistol,  the PS-90, AR57, MasterPice Arms 57, Ruger 57 and several more. I even have a custom barrel for my Thomson Contender in 57.

The rifle I put in a binary trigger with the .22 LR conversion kit.   Illegal in CA, but perfectly legal here in NV.

I recorded a few seconds of it before they closed the range. See here for the .22LR conversion on binary:

See here for the same rifle in 5.7 x 28 with only the mag and the BCG changed from above.

Both were me at the CC range but on different days.

The Tuolumne Meadows cam is marked as 'inactive' aka 'broken'.

I heard that the AQI in the Yosemite valley peaked yesterday at 830, before settling back down to 755. It was reported that the AQI had dropped to around 350 this morning and is likely to stay very hazardous for the next few days.  No wonder they felt that they needed to close the park.  :(
