Pics and Vids / Re: First "Electrical Donut"? XXL Racing

You youngsters these days - don't know anything about history.  You think just because you have lithium batteries that no powerful electric motorcycle could exist before the lithium battery.  Electric motorcycles have over a 100 year history, and you think nobody did burnouts in a circle before?

;-) ...

Um, I started out this posting thinking I had pictures to show that Todd Kollin did a 360 tire burn at the 2004 Antigravity EV event (see http://www.7gen.com/book/electric-vehicle-events/april-2004-antigravity-ev-expo/687) but I see the picture doesn't show it being 360.  I clearly remember seeing Todd do at least a 180 degree tire burn, and that afterward someone joked "Todd just needed to turn it around" ...

Just made a posting about the 24 Hours of Electricross video I've posted.  In any case to introduce myself... I'm the owner of the V is for Voltage forum (http://visforvoltage.org/) which is a forum specializing in all sizes of electric vehicles including electric motorcycles.

I have several vehicles, three electric bicycles, two electric scooters and two electric motorcycles.  That doesn't count the two other vehicles that are in "project" status.

The motorcycles are:-

A Lectra which has been rebuilt to be completely non-stock, other than the frame.  It has an Advanced DC a89 motor and a 60v SLA battery pack and an 72v alltrax controller.

A three wheeler, which started out as a 1970's era Suzuki motorcycle.  The guy I bought it from welded a golf cart rear end onto the back.  It runs well at up to 40 miles/hr.  Unfortunately it's not registered and I don't take it on the road, and am doing some rewiring before taking it to the DMV for registration.

Hi, it doesn't look like y'all have any news on this event which was held last weekend.  BTW I am the owner of the V is for Voltage forum, another place that specializes in electric vehicles including electric motorcycles.  I myself own two electric motorcycles but I might post about those elsewhere.

I attended the Electricross race and posted a couple videos on my podcast:
