I'm 48 years old but I ride this bike like I'm 70. Bought it for the "electric" part, not for the off-the-line speed 
There's about 6500 miles on the bike. It has fallen over once while standing still and was "muscled" to the ground (as well as you can muscle a 600 pound bike to the ground), and this problem didn't appear until the next riding season from that incident. Can't totally rule it out I guess, but I'd say the probability of that being the cause is low. Otherwise, it's just a daily commuter bike and occasional errand pony.
