Just to obfuscate things further, I visited a local HD emporium to view their (four) LiveWires.

I genuinely wanted to see one in the metal—I have only viewed photos.It is smaller and slimmer than imagined but still very heavy. The styling? Not as, ahem, silly as I originally perceived.

The salesdrone I spoke to had plenty of tattoos. He likes to wheelie and used to ride stunt bikes. Or was that stunted bikes. Which is to say that what he told me about the future of the LiveWire may have no connection to reality.

He and his manager both indicated that HD have updated their product catalogue for 2021 and the LiveWire (along with multiple other HD bike models) was not in it. I asked if HD planned to keep selling the LiveWire as a 2020 model or maybe come out with a new one in 2022, and both thought not.

The new CEO at HD, according to the salesgerms, seems intent on reducing overhead by cutting models and limiting options. Take that as you wish.

I do plan to try out a LiveWire this coming weekend, however. The rest? Whenever I read the phrase, "X is committed to continuing..." usually means that whatever was promised will not happen.

Because Electric Motorcycles have no known 'CC' their pre-underwritting formula for "gasoline engine equivalent" involves some multiplication.

My 2020 LiveWire is insured as a 6,300 cubic centimeters 525 horsepower ICE motorcycle.
A 2020 Zero SR/F would solve out to 6,600cc and 550 hp.

This makes sense—as in now I understand the ridiculous rates Progressive quoted me for an SR or SR/S rather than it makes logical sense. Their quote (including comprehensive coverage) was more than twice what I pay for my BMW R9T Racer, and I think that is already pricey.

Is there anyone who can advocate for electric bikes owners to the insurance industry or is that wasted effort?

Has anyone spotted any in-depth, unvarnished reviews of the Evoke motorcycles, either in video or article?

Ooer, the Urban S and Urban Classic are almost nice enough to want to know more!

But sadly I know nothing about them. Now I will keep watch for news on Evoke.

The SR/S pegs do just bolt on.

Slight digression: I was told that the SR/S has lower pegs compared to the SR/F, but visually comparing the two models side-by-side I discern no difference. Sitting on both suggests that the lower seat of the SR/F is the only difference.

Can anyone confirm a difference in peg height between the two?

BTW if I get the SR/S, I plan to install SR/F lower handlebars. Has anyone bought SR/F or /S handlebars separately?
