This has been my first entry into electric motorcycles and looking for an upgrade. Original owner purchased at Triumph of Seattle, Zero dealer. This Red Premium SR/F includes heated grips, the Power Tank extended the standard 14.4kWh battery capacity with an additional 3.6kWh. Crazy torque, low center of gravity and almost silent operation. The onboard 6kW charger J1772 is the most common charging standard in the Pacific NW, many of them free.

Customizations include a dealer installed top box (official Zero accessory), a wind screen and side mirrors (I have the original mirrors as well), oem SR/S lower foot pegs and a bar raiser for better highway comfort.

Here with a SR/F. Cannot get the update to complete with an iPhone. Tried to logout and uninstall the app without luck. Will try a Pixel phone before calling the dealer:

Firmware transfer has failed. Please
key off your motorcycle for 3 minutes
and then try again.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Wallbox: charger compatibility testing
« on: November 05, 2021, 01:46:28 AM »
Sorry for the delayed replies. The charger is currently connected to a 30A circuit (24A mode). And yes I did confirm that I don't have any charge limits setup. The bike is charging ok from a public charger not far from my house at ~6kw. I also have tried it at different levels of SOC without luck. Then plugin our 110v turbocord and it works well.

I tried all options I could think about. Sent logs to Zero, Wallbox. Sounds like it is down to a join debugging.

I have a Pulsar Plus. Works fine with other vehicles (bmw i3. Tesla model S). But no go with the SR/F. Fans start when I plug, power remains at 0A and in a few the bike fan stops and shuts down.

I have issues with my SR/F charging with. New Wallbox charger. Talking with Zero and Wallbox company does not sound like there is much or a compatibility effort going on. Wallbox support is based on Mountain View, CA. But Zero is not responding to a test request.

Would anybody would be available to take a motorcycle SR/F to Wallbox and get some charging logs? I am based in Seattle otherwise I would do it.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: SR/F totally dead. BMS reset?

I will be monitoring it. The bike definitely does not like the Wallbox charger. It gets in a funky state. I think that has something to do with it. Well, either that or my 240v-30A circuit. My car is happy, but I haven’t successfully charged my Zero with it with 3 chargers: turbocord, Tesla+Tap and now Wallbox,

Thank you all. After a couple of hours charging the 12v the bike is back up. No need for a trip to the dealer. Thank you!

Thank you. Bike is totally non-responsive. I will check the battery. I thought the bike had only a dc-dc converter and no battery.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / SR/F totally dead. BMS reset?
« on: May 02, 2021, 12:21:39 AM »
After plugging the bike to a new Wallbox Pulsar Plus charger overnight the bike is dead. I hear the “click” when turning it on and the fan for a bit when plugging the charger, but otherwise the whole bike is non-responsive.

Before getting a trailer, I was thinking about doing a BMS reset. But I cannot find the rubber plug in the SR/F. Any pointers?

I called Zero and they said there was no way to do it.

Fair question. Yes I meant the dc to dc converter. I was not sure, turning the key in my case just  turned the headlight on/off. But it did not power cycle the console. Unplugging the positive from the converted powered down the console and the bike is back now. Interestingly it booted up with the correct time. So the hang happened after the time changed.

Resolved on my own disconnecting the dc-dc controller.. Should have thought about that earlier. Of course, I thought about it after posting the question.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / SR/F computer hang
« on: November 03, 2020, 06:05:50 AM »
SR/F firmware 18. Tried to change the time yesterday and the computer hang in the Set Time menu. Has been like that since then. Waiting to call the dealer tomorrow. Are there any guidelines on resetting the dashboard computer? I could only find directions to reset the BMS in the unofficial zero manual. Called Zero this morning and they told me there is no way and I have to bring her in to their dealer. Hard to believe there is no key combination to do a power cycle of the computer.

I ordered mine again and should be at the dealer in 2weeks. Will report back.

Since the release of the SR/S and the new parts catalog I have not seen comments about the power tank. I cancelled my order Back in Feb based on the lack of “progress”. Has anybody received it yet? Any feedback?
