Hello all,

I am looking for a set of "Pearlescent White" plastics, only needing the rear 2 piece assembly and the front fender (I have the tank plastic in this color already installed).
I know I can reach out to a dealer for these items new I just thought I might ask here first to see if anyone has these items layout around in lightly used or new condition.

Zero Part Numbers would be as follows:

I am in need of a new plastic tank fairing for my 2015 zero sr. If anyone has one they are selling that is red and sr please contact me.

Hello Crissa,

Has this since been resolved? I believe I have a Power Tank Plastic in the 2015 Red if you still need one.

Chris

Thanks everyone for the feedback and pictures.
Does anyone happen to have a tank-removed picture of the 6kW charger installed on an S/SR/DS/DSR?

Yes, the black unit is a 6kW unit. I do not however know what the other unit is.

It raises the question if the new units have  enough heat sink/cooling capacity, when the black unit is compared with what I can only imagine to be an older 2.5kW unit with a large heat sink attached.

Thoughts?

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Charge Tank Design
« on: December 19, 2020, 12:43:54 AM »
Hello fellow forum friends,

I have a question regarding the Zero Charge Tank design. I found a an old video on the unofficial manual site of a Charge Tank being installed, shown with the tank plastic removed.
More recently, I have seen a picture of a Charge Tank sent by a dealer showing a different design, now without a massive visible heat sink.
Can anyone shed some light on the Charge Tank design? Is it 2.5kW vs. 6.5kW versions I am seeing? If the new unit doesn't have such a massive heat sink attached, how does it efficiently radiate heat from the charger?

Pictures have been attached for reference.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: New guy, think of buying 2014 S
« on: September 10, 2020, 02:39:47 PM »
I gave my daughter my old 2014 S when I bought a 2018 S. Both bikes had the Power Tank installed. Neither vehicle has had any problems other than both bikes needing the on-board charger replaced. On comment that I will add is that when I visited the Zero factory they had dozens of Delta Q chargers that were being used to charge up their new battery packs before they were installed in their bikes. And not a Calex (on-board) charger in sight.   ;)

Hello Richard, you had the on-board charger also needing replacement on your 2018 S? How many miles did you have on it when it failed? Common failure signs?
Thanks for any details you can provide
