Looking for a fender like this for my 2016 DS. I took the OEM tail section off and water gets whipped up on the tail section and my back.

I put these on mine.

Orange charge tank off my 2016 DS.

There are no huge imperfections in the panel. There are some minor scratches and swirls. I tried to capture them in the photos. I changed the color of my panels so I have the original box and packaging materials sent with my new panels directly from Zero.

I will only ship to the USA. I'm in Michigan.

$130 for the Charge Tank Cover plus shipping

Orange tail top section off my 2016 DS.

There are some minor scratches and swirls. I tried to capture them in the photos. The tail section has a few dark spots that may or may not be cleanable. The bottom tip screw hole broke off. You can see it in the photo.

I changed the color of my panels so I have the original box and packaging materials sent with my new panels directly from Zero.

I will only ship to the USA. I'm in Michigan.

$35 for the tail section plus shipping

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / So I did a battery capacity test
« on: June 07, 2020, 10:36:01 PM »
So I did a battery capacity test on my (new to me) 2016 DS 13kWh with 18,600 miles with original battery. The average watt hour / mile on the bike is 88.8.

I drained the battery down to 95 volts as shown on the app and then I charged it overnight plugged into a 110v AC outlet.

It put 11.38kWh back into the battery and showed 115 volts in the app this morning.

What do you guys think? How is she doing?

Oh I see you are pretty new so here's the main link to the Unofficial Service Manual maintained by forum member Brian T Rice with lots of members contributing.

And here is the part about the motors.

https://zeromanual.com/wiki/SDS_Platform/Unofficial_Service_Manual#Motor

The 2014 and 2015 SRs had the surface mounted magnet motors.  They would over heat if pushed hard with the larger controller.
In 2016 (the first year for the DSR) they brought out the IPM motor which holds in magnets in place with a cage type rotor and gives more air space between the magnets and the stator coil making it less likely to over heat.  The down side is now you have to take the motor (whole bike of course) in every 8000 miles to be commissioned ($50-$100).

I see in this link from the Zero page that they say my 2016 DS has the interior permanent magnet motor.
https://web.archive.org/web/20180731205414/http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/zero-ds/2016/specs.php

I am aware of the Zero manual and have been reading it daily.

So you had your 75-7 stock motor replaced with a 75-7R?

In 2016 both the motor and the controller (and software) were different in the DS and DSR.

I'd leave it alone.  Sell it and get a DSR if you want or wait for a new model Gen 3 DSR.

I have an old 13 DS and a 17 DSR and though the DSR does have noticeably more power, that DS in sport mode is still pretty dang quick.

When I looked at the stats for both the DS and DSR it showed the motors to be the same. Where did you find out the DS has a 75-7 and the DSR has a 7R motor? Can you link us to the info please?

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Turning 2016 13kwh DS into a DSR?

I have the same battery and engine in my 2016 DS as the DSR. Is there a way to play with the software and turn up the power to DRS levels?

Maybe gazzini LED running light turn signals?

15
Anyone know who makes these LED turn signals? The owner of them won't reply but he does have "Classy Chassis & Cycles" in his sig....

Would I need to install a LED Flasher Relay ? I have one for my yamaha XSR900. Would that one work for the 16 DS 13kw? I heard its under the tank...
