Okay got it thanks. So then that part is that the dealer needs to update the dash firmware. You cannot update the dash on your own I guess.

@Zelidar: I did not completely get it: did your dealer have to do anything to your bike so that you got the Park Mode running? Or is it sufficient to bring the MBB and BMS firmware up to the latest version? I also have a MY2020 SR/F and for me the app says "Dealer installation required" - whatever that means.

This is a great piece of information, thank you!
It should go in the unofficial Zero manual.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / SR/F heated grips replacement
« on: October 09, 2022, 08:15:08 PM »
Recently my parked SR/F premium fell to the side and my handle bar is bent on one side so that I have to replace it.
Has anyone done this and can give me a hint how to remove/reattach the left heated grip without damaging it?

Thanks a lot!

I parked my SR/F and when I came back it was dropped - so I need a few spare parts. My Zero dealer is currently overloaded and takes not any repairs at the moment. And he does not sell spare parts. On the phone they said that I should write them a mail and they check what they can do - but not it is already one week and no response from them.>:(
Is there a good place to order them, preferable in Europe? Only place I found was Koups in the US, but shipping takes quite long and is rather expensive.

Any hint is highly welcome!

this should read ...that I am NOW registered.... For some reason I keep making this typo.
Sorry for the confusion. I will fix this in the post.

Heureka, I was able to resolve my issue!

While being connected to the bike via bluetooth, I hit the Deregister button in the account menu. I got a message that I am NOW deregistered and then I registered again. This worked with the same E-Mail address I used before and I was able to set a new password. Now I can connect again, also with the zeroNG app!
It seems that deregister and register again is the way to change a password.

(edit: fixed typo:  not -> NOW)

Thanks for the offer, Hans, but I do not have the right password in the ZeroNG app. I tested the TCP log with a dummy password.
I still think that your app is more secure than you think. Even when you put the password in the URL query, the URL is a https connection and the secure channel is established before the http request is sent to the server. So the password leaves the device only in the secure channel and not unencrypted.

9
Oh then they have a better way to connect to the api then we have.

I was checking with your zeroNG app. Also here I don't see that a user name and password is sent in clear text. This is all end-to-end encryption when you send https commands. In a browser plugin you could capture the traffic before it is encrypted, but as soon as it goes out of the device it is encrypted. Or am I missing something?

Is your phone rooted ?
An strace or tcpdump may provide some info.

I am using an iPhone, so no option to root. I was running tcpdump on my router.

Thanks for the hint Hans2183.
Unfortunately this does not work because this is a https connection (also used by the app). The secure channel is established between the server and the app, so with the sniffer I only see the encrypted traffic and cannot read user name and password. I verified this with a capture. Normally a good thing, but not in this case  :(.

For some reason I lost my super-secure password on the Zero NextGen app. I am still logged in, so I have access to the bike. Different than on any other login I know, there is no "reset password" or "I forgot..." option in that app.

I searched the forum and found that some of you noticed this before, but I did not find a solution for that.
What are my options? In the app I can log out (which I am currently afraid of) or I can click on "Deactivate".
I was thinking if the "Deactivate" option would allow me to re-register my bike with a different password (that I then hopefully remember). But will this work? And can I use the same E-Mail address then again as a user name or do I need to use a different one?

Thx for your help!

The amps on the display are the DC amps going into the battery  8) The DC battery voltage is roughly between 97 volts (empty) to 116 volt (full). So while your primary AC current is 10A (with a voltage of 230 Volt = 2.3 kW AC), there are some losses in the charger which will yield the displayed 2.0 kW (DC) into the battery.

Thank you remmie, that makes perfect sense! The manual was not clear about that - at least not for me.

P.S. Austria is a great country for an electric motorcycle, we were there last year with my 2018 SR and was planning on returning on my SR/F this year but guess that will not be happening this year :(
Yes it is. Actually I am living in Vienna, so I don't have these famous bike roads in front of the door and mainly drive in the city. But I like to go on vacation in this area for hiking (rather than biking) :). Who knows what will be possible this summer. But sooner or later things will relax and we can enjoy our great bikes again!

Dear All,
I bought a new SR/F Premium back in January and follow this forum for quite a while. Just registered to start my first post  :)

I am living in Europe (Austria) and charge my bike at home at a normal Schuko outlet. For charging, I use a NrgKick cable and limit the current at the cable box to 10A. Since we are running on 230V, this should give me a maximum Power of 2,3kW.
Now, when I look at the dashboard of the SR/F during charge, I can see a Power of 2kW (which is OK), but the current shows 20A.
I don't think that I really get the 20A out of this one phase, since the NrgKick is limiting the current. How does this look on your dashboard during charge - especially in regions where you also run on 230V?

Thanks and I am sure more questions will come soon....
Best, NoRid
