Hi,

I've recently upgraded my SR/F from firmware v14 to v18 (end of October). Since this upgrade I have problems with the mobile App (Zero Next Gen on a Sony Xperia XZ, Android 8.0.0) :
- I can't get datas whithin the app when I'm far from the vehicule, all that's indicated is "battery 30%" which is not the correct value
- When paired with the bike, I can start/stop a trip record, but nothing is recorded
The upgrade of the App to v2.2.3 (beginning of decembre) didn't solve anything. I also tried the ZeroNG app but it displays the same battery level as the official app.

Anybody noticed something similar ?

"Push the key down" just means "insert the key".  ;)

It never takes me more than a few seconds to engage the steering lock. I turn the key directly to the steering lock position when I park the SR/F (with the handlebar to the left), and sometimes it needs a gentle right-left handlebar movement to remove the key.

There was a discussion here before that reported that once a bike was linked to an account it could only be linked with a new account by call zero (if I recall correctly that is). That could be your issue.
That was it !
I asked Zero and they reset the account. I just had to de-install / re-install the App, and create a new account at the 1st connection.
Many thanks !  :)

Nice bag Ooook.

Was it easy to find 'tie points' under the pillion seat for those straps?
I'm looking at getting a tail bag for my SR/F but looking under the pillion seat I didn't see too many options to attach the straps.

Cheers
No, it was not that easy to install, I had some difficulties to fix the hooks (Cordura parts).

But once in place, it stays put.  ;)

I'll post a photo ASAP (today ?).

I'm using a Bagster Spider, a 23L saddle bag :

The manufacturer EVBox says otherwise :  ???
  • the problem is directly linked to the specific configuration asked by the energy supplier Izivia/EDF, and appeared 2 times only
  • there was no risk at all for the customer
  • there was a lack of maintenance from Izivia/EDF, despite EVBox's warning
  • Izivia/EDF declined EVBox's offer to help reopen the network
(source : https://news.evbox.com/en-WW/186774-evbox-s-statement-regarding-izivia-s-decision-to-permanently-close-part-of-the-corri-door-network-france )

EVBox also supply the same charge stations to a local operator along the river Rhone, they had 1 similar problem but the inquiry concludes it was an isolated incident.

And finally, in their previous press release, Izivia/EDF also said there were not enough customer for these stations...

Draw your own conclusion...  ::)

Indeed the app can only show information when connected. Either by BT or with the "remote connect" option if you're not close to the bike. That remote connect option also is a limited view in the app.

Is your bike second hand? Or a demo model?

There was a discussion here before that reported that once a bike was linked to an account it could only be linked with a new account by call zero (if I recall correctly that is). That could be your issue.

Yes, my bike is a demo model.
I'll asked Zero about that, thanks a lot ! (I did search the forum before posting, but I didn't find anything regarding the register problem  ??? )

I don't have much to contribute on this subject other than to say that the Android flavor of the app is very buggy.
Take the latest firmware upgrade for example,  after it failed to complete when initiated directly from the bike, after 8 or 9 attempts via the app, finally finished but just the MMB. The battery board update failed and no matter what I  did on my Android phone to retry the failed upgrade, it wouldn't do it.
Tried a second 'droid phone, in perfect working condition and got the same thing.

Yep, the app desperatly needs an upgrade  :D
I didn't try to update to v16, but I noticed that only the bike show the upgrade, the app on my phone keeps on searching on an infinite loop...  >:(

Hi there,

I've got some problems with Zero Next Gen App (I have a SR/F fw v14 and a Sony Xperia XZ Android 8 ) :
  • I can't register an account within the app. My bike is paired with my phone and connected, but the app doesn't want my email & password. I tried multiple addresses and various password w/ or w/o special characters, it never works. ???
  • The other day I set a maximum charge level within the app, but I couldn't cancel it. I had to de-activate it directly on the SR/F. :(
  • When the bike is not connected, the app doesn't show any information. It doesn't keep data in cache ? That would be a great improvment.  :-\
Anyone encountered the same problems ?

(I asked Zero about these problems and am waiting for their answers).

In France, free charging is extremely rare.
And public charge stations are dying fast :
  • the main energy supplyer (Corri-door by EDF) just announced the closure of 90% of its 250 highway charge stations
  • city services offers an overpriced connexion time fee (0.27€/minute (0.30$/min) !), not a Kwh price, AND a monthly subscription
  • Ionity has just raised its price to an insane level (0.79€/Kwh (0.88$/Kwh))
  • and Tesla... but just for Tesla (I know what brand I'll choose for my next car...  ;D)
and almost each supplyer has its own mandatory card.

My employer has a maintenance and exploitation contract with a company specialized in charge station (Ze-Watt, with its own card too). The price is 0.23€ / ZW (0.26$/ZW), where 1 ZW is approximately 1 Kwh.
