Well if it's 3.50V then that would explain a few things would it not?

Cas :)

But that's exactly where they are about to be used ... isn't the Changan Nevo A06 going to have a sodium ion battery version?

3
Well you say that but ... they're already on the roads and they're working just fine. About the only place they're probably not a good fit is high performance motorcycles.

<sound of a Russian guy scampering out of the back window with a suitcase stuffed full of dollars>

Regardless of all that ... does the battery actually live up to any of its claims? I mean, who cares what's inside it, if it actually does what they say it does.

The EEPROM read fails are probably an issue.

Unlikely the BMU itself has managed to fail all on its own. Much more likely to be a little bit of corrosion and / or moisture on a critical connector, which happens when things get left alone for months. Make sure your 12V battery is fully charged too, which apparently can also cause init problems.

Yes, I did wonder why a multiple-connector solution isn't bandied about a bit more.
Relatedly I also wondered whether any bright spark (ahem) would champion the idea of daisy chaining motorcycles so we could fit 6 on a 100kW charger at a time. (Yes I am aware of the various issues that would need to be overcome).

That is literally the power requirement of an entire small rural UK village. So stick a few of them in your depot and you need a literal brand new power station to power them all.

I once was hit square in the face by a pigeon, banked over at 70mph on the slip road between the M3 and M25 (South East England). It shat all over my head and chest, and there was a fair amount of blood too. Fortunately I stayed sat on the bike (a ZZR1100), and finished off my commute to work. Got some unforgettable looks when I arrived :)

Another reason I junked the awful unsprung deadweight of the original plate holder and put an R&G tail-tidy version on instead :) Looks way better and arrived the next day...

Cas :)

Do you have a photo of it installed?
(whoops, necro reply - forgot to take one so far!)

Well, there is that.
