Tech Help / DSR 2018 - squeaking sound when accelerating

Hi,

Anyone had issues with squeaking sound when accelarating with Zero DSR or any other models. It is not coming from the brakes i am sure but cannot located if it is coming from front or rear wheel. Sounds like a lack of lubricant somewhere although belt should not be lubricated from what i could gather here. Is there any other parts that I should be checking for lack of lubricant? Bearings maybe? Any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for the info. As a matter of fact, there are no burnt out bulbs on the bike however, for some reasons that I can’t explain, i went for a short bike ride earlier and the signals worked fine, for about half hour!

It seems they randomly decide to act weird. I did replace the original rear turn signal and brake light with Weiser Technik Extreme LED signal, dont know if this could be the issue? Or the fact that I have added USB port to the back to charge the phone although signals were acting weird before the install!

Good day,

Any body had issues with the turn signals on Zero DSR 2018 (or other zero for that matters). When actionned, the turn signal simply light up solid orange and is not blinking, neither front or back and simply stays on until i turn it off.

Any idea on how to fix this?

Hi guys,

Was planning on changing rear brake pads on my DSR2018 because they felt noisy and all and purchased the EBC organic FA213 after looking at different forum. It seems to me they are a pretty tight fit compared to the OEM ones. Anyone experience the same? Went for a test run and brake were much quieter but then again not sure if it is the right fit. Anyone used different pads and can confirm that they fit on DSR 2018?

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Installation of Weiser Technik 2 in 1 driving/turn signal

Did anyone manage to find clear step by step instructions on how to install the Weiser Technik 2 in 1 driving/turn signal on Zero motorcycle. I have a 2018 Zero DSR and I did remove the seat as well as plastic tank but the instructions aren't clear as how to install on Zero bike from there. Everything is pretty tucked in and hard to move around.

Anyone knows if there is video or some dumbie proof installation guide that would fit my very basic electrical skills !!!!

Looking at getting a good motorcycle cover for my DSR 2018 (no sidecases, tailbags or dropbars) that will have a good snug fit on my bike as I sometime have to leave it outside at work where it can be very windy / rainy. Looking for something relatively small that can fit in backpack once folded. Any suggestions?

Anyone know a good USB 3.0 charger to add on a Zero DSR 2018. Something that could be bought off the web and is easy to install (still new at playing with wires on my bike).

Thanks for all the tips. It seems that the 2013 fly screen is pretty hard to find on internet in the US or Canada...might be trying to go with some universal ones that fits nicely with my DSR.

I am currently looking at installing a minimalist windshield on my DSR 2018, something like the OEM fly screen on the 2013 model, and i am looking at options (brand model) that would work with the DSR 2018. I am not looking at the MRA since they are too big for my taste, basically want something that covers the instruments and that doesn’t interfere much with the headlamp.

Anyone has suggestions?
