Pretty sure that is a remnant from the 2023 model configuration or they intend for it to be for the DS/DSR.   The website clearly says wire wheels on the DSR/X.

I hope you're correct, gives a bit more justification to the price tag.

So it seems that is the difference between the 75-10 and the 75-10X.  I found the 2023 specs on the wayback machine for the DSR/X and it has the same 75-10X motor as the 2024.

The 2023 DSR/X bikes seem to primarily have cast alloy wheels.   The 2024 DSR/X is shown having spoked tubeless wheels. 

There is no mention of the "Mudport Wheel Sprocket" for the 2023 that is mentioned on the 2024.

I think they also added LED turn and hazard indicators on the 2024.   The 2023 manual shows replacement bulbs for the turn signals.

Beyond those items, I didn't find any other differences.

I think they both still come stock with cast alloy wheels, if you use the configuration tool, it looks like it's an option to add them.

Great write up Don, I really enjoy your comparisons and I'm surprised, after a lot of hate for the DSR/X vs Energica, that the DSR/X is getting a lot of love. I personally love the time I got to demo the DSR/X.

I will say, in California I rarely see free level 2 chargers unless it's a destination charger for customers. At least on PlugShare they are fairly rare here in the Bay Area.

I doubt that Energica is taking the touring market seriously.

30k touring bike without standard heated grips, no centerstand, without a semi active suspension, and now they also deleted Bluetooth?

It looks like a touring bike and is the best you can get in terms of range out of the electrics, but it's not really competing in the touring motorcycle space.

I think they will in time. Even bikes like the Ducati Multistrada V4S don't come standard with heated grips / luggage / centerstand / radar etc. They are all add-ons or packages.

The Experia is similar, you can order center stand, touring screens, heated grips or packages which have them.

It's just the Launch Edition, which was probably missing the center stand as they didn't get them in time. Energica switched focus to just getting bikes into customers hands as they knew they were behind schedule.

I hope Energica does incorporate radar, active suspension, adaptive cruise control etc like Ducati in the future. I just think it will drive price point higher and maybe they combat that with trim levels. So if you have the money you can get everything.

Yes, AFAIK, every option was included except for the keyless FOB that cost around $400.00 US more. I ordered that late, so I am not sure if I have it or not. I will know more on Tuesday when I look at my Experia for the very first time.

It was not included. I don't believe they are supplying one either. It will have to be purchased after. Mine did not come with one.

No problem. Many people have called me Tom perhaps because of my username. Tom was my same-sex mate, we spent 42 years together, but he died of cancer in year 2016. We were legally married too, since when such became legal. But we were together since 1974 until he died in year 2016.

I will leave in my motorhome in a few days. I will still be online. I will get an email when they get the bike, but I will not rush back for it and I will just enjoy my trip. I will take my Zero DS with me as I always do on my RV trips.
