Energica / Re: So whats the story
« on: May 27, 2026, 01:38:14 PM »
last news for me, in France:

crashed the bike in early December 2025
in late December, called an energica (and many other electric bikes) dealer who told me he has just been contacted by the new owners to get business back on tracks, so I left the bike with him
March 2026, dealer calls me saying that he had more news and that parts were expected for June 2026
yesterday I call him and no new yet

I'm still hopeful, based on the fact that the dealer is, but not much more to report.

do you have the standard or GT version of the roadsmart4 ?
I have the standard ones and also have a problem with TC sometime being all over the place.
maybe the standard version is flexing too much and the gt version could be a solution.

TNCreator, Where do you live? This is the first I have heard of Energica reaching out to a dealer. Thanks.

in France. when I called him in december asking if he could take my bike, he told me that the new energica owners had recently contacted him about being back in business, so he was optimistic.

thank you very much for your precious help.

I am ok physically but unfortunately I am at the bottom of a deep depression bout and life feels like pure hell, I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

take good care of yourself and your loved ones.

Energica / Waterpump replacement ?
« on: December 13, 2025, 09:21:25 PM »
Hi,
I just crashed my 21 eva RS on ice. Left side got wrecked, the bike worked ok enough to get home.
But aside from the bodywork being destroyed, the waterpump and its hose are damaged.
Is there an option to buy those parts aside from official energica parts? I know they are in the process of getting back on tracks but I have no idea how that works for a current need.

thanks a lot, take care

thanks a lot for all this knowledge, just replaced the whole chain kit.
the smoothness of a new chain after a very worn one is so nice !

in your experience, do other models have the same problem, a 21 ribelle in my case ?

I have the exact same problem, one day I will disassemble the whole headlight block to check all connections. But it is such a minor inconvenience that I procrastinate.

thanks all for your answers, very interesting.

yesterday I had a good confirmation of the importance of the sun, with the battery going to yellow only by driving after sitting in the direct sunlight by ~35°c with no charging that day, I would not have guessed that was even possible.

so dumb question but wouldn't a simple reflective cover on the exposed parts make a huge difference ? like some space blanket material or even a white fabric sheet that could be lightly sprayed with water for a strong evaporative cooling while riding.

Energica / Re: Your feedback on the traces on my front brake discs
« on: August 04, 2025, 02:34:32 PM »
for me, that looks like a disc that got hot, not like abnormally hot tho.
the color spots between the holes are a standard thing on trackdays for example.
if the thickness, free play and feeling are good, I would not worry.

I will maybe have to do a 400km (250mi) trip each way by hot weather, 32°c (90°F)

I was wondering if limiting the power, for example to 60A instead of 75, would lead to sufficiently less heating to improve the thermal situation on a longer trip.
On one hand I feel like putting less heat in the battery would make the thermal throttle happen later and cool faster when riding.
On the other hand I guess the time lost charging slower just makes the thing balance itself out and the result is the same.

any experience on this ? do I try to manage it or just send it full blast and let it regulate itself ?
