Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: SR/F Rear Brake Lever Position

Thank you!  I'll take a crack at it in the morning.  This is the only thing for me between this bike being perfect or not.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / SR/F Rear Brake Lever Position
« on: November 21, 2019, 05:07:33 AM »
Noob question... I've found tons of info on how to adjust brake lever position on most bikes, but I can't find instructions for the SR/F and it does not look like the videos I've seen.  I'd kill to lower the lever a bit.  After a long ride, the current position makes my foot hurt quite a bit.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Just a quick question: Has anyone found a tail tidy that fits the SR/F?

Expectations are a poor justification.  Your hands offer better control than your feet.  If you need to use your rear brake (really? You spell checked me?  I bet you're super fun at parties...) while leaning into a right turn, a foot brake is clearly not ideal (same justification the Pike's Peak rider had).

If they are creating an entirely new type of vehicle, why limit yourself to the restrictions imposed by a dying technology that doesn't apply?  Why not just optimize your layout for this style of vehicle.  I have no problem going between a motorcycle, bicycle, and a scooter...  Just like I have no trouble going between an automatic and manual car.  I've never once slammed the brakes in a car with my left foot because I thought their should be a clutch.

Had anyone moved their rear brake to the handlebar like the Pike's Peak SR/F?  Trying to figure out what that would cost me.  It always made sense to me to put the break there since there's no clutch.

Electric Motorcycle News / Rear brake mod from Pike's Peak SR/F?

Has anyone moved the rear brake to the left handlebar like the Pike's Peak SR/F?  Curious to know what that'd cost me / how it was done / parts necessary.  I never understood why a bike without a clutch wouldn't have that break on the handlebar like a Vespa.

If this has been asked before, apologies.  I've been searching the forum and didn't see anything about it.
