Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'm pretty sure I have the standard windscreen. It  comes just to the top of the side mirrors and looks like the screen in all of BMW's stock photos, with the concave top.

I rode it in to work today; yesterday it was raining cats and dogs. I have a 13 mile-ish commute, with 12 on the freeway. It knocked 14% off the battery capacity according to the gauge, riding conservatively. I have moderate traffic that keeps speeds around 70 mph. I took the charger just in case, but not really worried I'd have to use it. My workplace has 3 charging stations that are always full and don't want to have to fight for a charging spot.

This is my first electric motorcycle. I have 2 e-bikes that I converted myself and have enjoyed using those. I still can't get over how quiet and smooth the acceleration is on the BMW after a handful of rides. I like the bike a lot. It gets parked next to my KTM 1190 Adventure, and I'm hoping it offloads a bunch of miles from that bike, which I would call "high-strung" in terms of maintenance (rear tires every 5,000 miles, oil changes, chain slider...)

I pulled the trigger on a 2017 demo C Evolution! It arrived last night late, shipped from LA, and I took it for a spin to get groceries today. Easy to ride, and pulls hard from the stoplight. I plan on riding in to work on the freeway tomorrow to see how it gets along, and what my range is like. Work is about 12 miles away.

They're my local BMW dealer for sure, and I've spoken to them a couple of times about it. But they haven't had any training on the bike and aren't "qualified" to work on it. Their service manager said he'd have no problem servicing, say, the brakes, but powertrain work would have to be done elsewhere. The idea of shipping it to Albuquerque (or California) if I have issues is kinda offputting.

How long have you had the C-Evolution now? Any issues? I am also considering buying one, and I'm in Salt Lake City. I'm pretty sure it would be the only one in the state if I went forward. I actually emailed BMW Motorrad and asked how warranty service would work since there isn't a "qualified" dealer in Utah. They got back to me, said to wait while they researched it, and then said it would have to be serviced at a qualified dealer, the closest of which is in Albuquerque. Sandia BMW there is a dealer. Which ain't exactly close. Anyway, I'm on the fence about buying it now. I've watched all the review vids I can find and was excited about it, but the prospect of servicing it puts me off a bit. And I'm a mechanical engineer with no fear about wrenching on my own bikes. I may take the plunge anyway. So...any troubles with yours? You'd buy it again if given the choice?
