Interesting, I suppose I get why, moving from producing 3 platforms down to 2 but I am a little disappointed.  I love the size and light weight of my S with the 7.2, its been the perfect commuter.  Going to be very curious to see how they price the S and DS.  With the SR now at nearly 20K, there is a big gap in price from the FXE.

It is possible (with a large amount of energy) to take CO2 from the air and convert it back into hydrocarbons.  If done using solar or wind it is effectively zero emission. This has been talked about for commercial aircraft as they likely will never be able to run on batteries.

Ok looks like the other difference is the SR/F & SR/S have a 6kW (7kW if you pay for software) onboard while the SR has a 3kW (3.3 with software upgrade)
The software "unlocks" are an interesting strategy...

Same, looks like the website has been updated. 
The SR/F base comes with the 14.4+ the premium comes with the 15.6
Then the SR only has the 14.4+

Honestly they should have just dropped the SR/F name and done a base and premium SR

Someone on the reddit forum speculated that the 300W units from the SR/F were accidentally installed instead of the 500W units typically used on the FX/S/DS bikes
I guess the power supplies are the exact same size.

Thankfully it was caught quick

Nice sounds like some good progress.  Did Zero know you where ordering a frame for a 14 with the Fastace?  Do they only make and stock newer year frames?  Hopefully you don't run into any more surprises.  Foe the wheel maybe just check to see if there is any play with the bearings.  Not sure how often people are replacing them but with only 15K you'll probably be fine until the next belt change or set of tires is needed.

Ha yea a lot of what he does is a hack but it's always entertaining.  While it would be neat to see him retrofit a sport bike the work involved getting everything to fit would be tremendous.  He should do exactly what you did and order a new frame and then see if he can find a salvage fork and front wheel.  It was pretty crazy seeing everything apart and working on the floor thou.

So... I just watched Rich Rebuilds latest video and at the beginning it featured him working on a wrecked red S from a Copart auction that looks very similar to this one.  Just curious if this is the same bike :)

You mentioned the bike is new, the pads probably need some time to bed in.  The ones on my S did.  Other thing to do before taking it back to the dealer is clean them.  Hit the auto parts store and grab a can of brake cleaner to get any oil or grim off the pads.  On a new bike some fluid might be on the pads after initial setup and brake bleed.

Thanks Richard230, that is absolutely a clip on ferrite bead added for EMI to pass UL testing.
The "snap" you sometimes hear when plugging in the bike is an arc.  It should not hurt anything but if your concerned, plug the bike in first then plug the other end into the wall.

My guess is the box on the input contains a ferrite bead added to meet UL requirements.  The new box is revision 'B'.  You know if the dying one was a different revision?
I have been a little obsessive and run a fan on a separate plug to blow cool air over my charger whenever in use.

Found the charger data sheet on Green Watt Powers website.  The photo in the data sheet shows revision 'A'.  Anyone know when these were redesigned?
