Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: New Zero models for 2024
« on: November 08, 2023, 08:40:13 PM »
Not so sure about that theory.
The weight for the SR/F equipped with the 75/10 motor is 227kg,
The weight for the SR also equipped with the 75/10 motor is 223kg,
and  the weight for the S with a 75/7 motor is 223kg too .....
For all the models, the battery is labeled + so, it is probably a 17.3 down stepped to 15.3 and 14.4 through software.
I wonder if the 3kW charger is a 6kW also down stepped by software means ...

Hi clockfort,

Thx for your clear and detailed answer, unfortunately it seems that the link "https://fupdater. _____________" is not available any more  :(
Anyway I will probably be able to extract the new link from the new app revision (as you did in 2017...) or in a more lazy way accept the update through the phone and fetch the files inside the android device. The only risk in that last case is to discover (when riding) some new bugs brought by this updated firmware rev   :-\

Thx again for you help.

Eric

Hi all,

I just check the firmware tab on the Zero Motorcycles app on my phone and discover that 2 new versions of the firmware are proposed as updates for the BMS and the MBB:

- For the MBB, rev 27 is proposed as a replacement of the existing rev 26.
- For the BMS, rev 35 instead of rev 34.

Has anyone tried (when previous firmware were proposed to be downloaded to the bike) to logg and record the BT transfer ? (perhaps is it scrambled during the transfer .... i dont know ...).

More information is welcomed.. :)

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Models limited to 11 kW

Hi to all 11kW ZERO users,

Did anyone succed into finding a way to restore (fully or partially) the missing power of our S (or DS) models ?
As my Zero reseller told me he was updating the firmware of a 11kW S model, a few time ago and discovered that the new programming achieved let arose the max speed to a 155km/h.

Of course the owner of this Zero is still with the same firmware :) .... are you this lucky owner, granpa ?  ;)

For me , and the other owners of a 11kw type, we have to discover the level 2 or level 3 PWD to get the rights to write some bytes inside the MBB through the DIY USB to RS232 cable (@TTL level on pins 8 and 9 of the ODB2 connector).
Anyone to help ??
Another more risky solution is to play with the Sevcon unit through the IXXAT CAN/USB dongle and the DVT 1.03C software (i finally found it).
