I think you will not find a (commercial) workshop to repair it. You will have to do it yourself.
I sold mine 2011 XU after not being able to fix it. Another guy is working on it now and he seams to be able to do it.
To cut short: I wouldnt do it‚

Sorry for my slow reaction.

I think as well it would be a solution to bypass the mbb. But i dont know how.
How did you do it ??

It is crazy but the bms does everything right. It charges and balances. But because of the missing 5 volt signal it won't give a green light signal so it can be accepted by Mbb.

Hello,

Hope everyone is doing great. I have a 2011 Zero S that is no longer charging. The lights on the battery turn on and blink but the bike is not gaining any charge and the fuel gage is depleting instead of charging. I have tried plugging into different sockets. The bike was parked outside during rain but I am not sure if that is the reason why.

Does anyone have any experience with similar issues on their bikes? and any advice on how this can be fixed?

Thank you!
Rain might be the cause. I 've broken a bms because of snow. Long time ago.

Are you sure the charger is still good ??

I have a Zero Xu model 2011 (with flat pouch cells). Yes it is old and I am driving it since day 1.
Though it's limited performance I have been very happy with it.

But:
I have busted my bms in building up the battery again with new cells. (There is no 5 volt signal according to the logs).
Strangely enough it charges perfectly and balances perfectly as well.

Is there someone who can repair my bms??
Is there someone who has the scheme of the bms ??
Is there someone who has an old battery or bms laying around ?

Happy to hear. If you need fotoos I can send them

The battery is from a 2012 xu. I bought it in 12 and drove 6 years some 12000 kilometer in Berlin Germany. I drove through snow, rain, in cold and heat.

I am currently trying to repair the battery. I found a set of new cells and exchanged 80 percent. The best 4 of the original stack are still in.
When I mounted the new and old cells I noticed a difference in the cases. There are slightly bigger and smaller cases. Difference is around 1 millimeter.
All my old cells were corroded. It all smelled a little like acid. Some of the old cells (around 3) were puffed. 1 heavily. That one made a huge pressure in the block. It distorted the construction slightly. And yes they all had a green plastic on the back side. Like a translucent sticker.

My big disappointment is that the BMS will not give out its final green light. It balances the pack (at 4.2 volts) perfectly  but keeps on giving a small red light. Therefore the motor will not start.
It drives me crazy because I have no clue.

I am currently abroad and can't send you more pics. I have m at home on my computer.

The battery never had fire. It was officially checked not be in the serie that got a replacement.

Hi robby

Do you have no battery at all. Or do you have a broken battery??

Greetings. Lucas.
