On #12 above, you have to program C1-C3 while the bike is with the run switch off or kickstand down, NOT when ready to ride. Then it remembers your settings. Otherwise, it assumes they are temporary settings. This also applies to setting your default riding mode.

And yes Moto7575 you can pre order any of the 4 models of the Hypersport or any of the three versions of the Hyperfighter.  You can also request a test ride when they are in your area.

That's not accurate. They recently came to Miami, made a big public post suggesting people could ride, and when I inquired if I could go and get a test drive, they admitted they didn't bring any bikes. Just flyers. I asked when they might have demo rides, they told me not yet. I don't think a single human alive has ever had a test ride of these bikes.

MadStad measured my SS9 and is working on a solution. Once I get the new Eva Ribelle, we will drop that off so they can fit it too.

I'm organizing this, so anyone who will be in Daytona, drop me a private note and I will give you our cell for coordinating!

I did. I used the RG 21.5 Ohm resistors. Worked perfectly. Front and back.

Just confirmed EVGo had an outage yesterday with several stations using the verizon network.
Does that mean the DC Chargers could not be used at all by any method for anybody?

No, EVGo will allow RFID cars to work without network. It caches those sessions and they get billed to your account on a future connection. Hence why it is a smart move to get the RFID cards for EVERY network that supports them (Greenlots and EVGo). I don't have a ChargePoint card any more as their "phone RFID" works perfectly. Electrify America doesn't have cards yet, but they told me that is coming.

I wanted to wire in a plug for a heated jacket liner. Sounds like the red wire under the USB plug is the way to go... then run a power line back towards the seat area. We are within 10 amps (6-7 amps).

By default, the headlight ring "spins" and the logo on the "tank" pulses while charging and then go steady on when finished. With the temps in my area being high, even in my garage at night, the fan definitely runs most of the time while charging although I'm pretty sure it stops when charging stops.

My guess is the headlight ring, "tank" logo, and dash remaining on (dash displays a message to unplug the bike) after the charge completes is the culprit since they don't turn off until you remove the plug. I've found the "tank" log gets really hot when charging off 110V since it's spending 6-8 hours doing it's thing. I just haven't bothered to disable it, especially since I'm getting my level 2 charger this week.

The headlight spinning effect of the EsseEsse9 is a 2020 (USA) model feature (where the headlight in connected to the CANBUS network). Not available in older models.

The trick for Electrify America is to start the session first from the App. Once started, THEN plug it in to the Energica. If you plug it in, it will fail. Same general principle seems to apply to everyone else. Ignore the "plug in first" request and just start the session first, plug in second.

Probably can reuse some other bike ones, issue isn't attaching them, is that they stick out the right amount in the right place to actually make a difference. Wish there was a place that stocked these in person near me to try different ones out.

The battery is lighter because they took the safety metal cage off from it and used the extra space to add more battery. These are Samsung SDI batteries. They come in set sizes and you build them up to the capacity you need. Samsung sells these for automotive and motorcycle uses. I believe, but I could be wrong, that Harley is using the same brand batteries in their LiveWire bike.

I agree with your thoughts, but I do consider Harley a serious contender. Their vast dealer network means they will likely move at least 500 units (I am assuming at least 5 per dealer). Their investment in those initial 150 dealers is substantial (L3 chargers, interactive displays, staff training, etc.). It will get them a foot in the market. Other than it's mostly charging related shortcomings and high price, it does seem to be a solid product. A follow up model with L2 support, improved L3 charging, and more competitive pricing could really light the market on fire.

How were the press rides? What did it sound like. Someone upload video. Looking forward to those press reports later today.

See it Saturday! I actually rode it a few months ago, not production ready yet.
Am I going to see any of you guys on Saturday?

Looks like you may be the first and only human being so far to ever admit seeing a Strike ride or have ridden one. Three questions, why have you been silent until now? Can you please give us a ride report and details? Finally, any photos or video to show us this historic event?

I must admit this announcement concerns me. Previous short announcement said there would be public rides of the Strike. This announcement no longer says that.

Ultimate addons sell a 12v splitter, which allows you to split the 12V supply before the USB outlet.

I assume that's the same plug the USB adaptor uses?
