You'd have to take that up with Hybrid but it's North of $1,000.  I was able to work out a deal since I had two batteries I was sending in.

2X0:  Yes, that's the charger messaging system according to the manual.  It goes through its checks and signals 'all is well'.

I have found a Zero Dealer that appears to be promising.  I believe it's down to the MBB or the Contractor.  He's reviewing it now.  Cross your fingers.

Green LED is steady green on the dash (assuming that's what you're referring to as controller).  Clicking did stop when I disconnected the throttle cable.  Swapping the cable with a replacement didn't solve the problem though.
Nearest Dealer is 3.5 hours away so I may try throwing in a new solenoid since the cost is less than hauling it to be diagnosed.  If that's not the issue I'll take it in to a dealer for diagnosis.  Hopefully I'll get to use it someday.  :)

Easy to ship but cannot tell you exactly what they did.  Charger accepts the battery, lights go through sequence and charge but cannot initiative the throttle to start.  Only makes a loud clicking.  I'll post on my other thread.

No problem shipping the battery.  Cost about $50 from Arkansas to IL.  I packed and went fed ex ground.

Yes, the kickstand is up when this noise occurs.  I can tell the side stand switch is functioning as the noise stops when I drop the stand down.

By Power Cutoff switch I am guessing you mean teh run/kill switch?  Yes.  It is in correct position.  I have four other ICE bikes and am familiar with the switch.

Looking at the Zero site I do not see firmware for 2011.  Furthest back is 2012.  There has to be others on this board who have brought one of these back to life.   As I stated it's only got 99.3 miles on the odometer.

Bike has sat in a pole barn in South Georgia for a few years.  Just had battery rebuilt/replaced.  Upon turning key, Bike comes alive (dash) and battery area makes a rapid clicking noise.   Tat tat tat tat.  No throttle response. 
Mileage shows 99.3 total.

Suggestions?

Buy Sell Trade / WTB Plastics 2011 Zero XU

Hey.  Got a Zero project going on.  Does anyone have any plastics for the front panels?  I need both sides.  Looking to fit onto a 2011 Zero XU.
Also looking for front brake lever (or similar replacement).

If later models fit Ill try.  Thanks.

Got my batteries rebuilt by Best Hybrid Batteries of Shorewood, IL.  Ask for Mike.  He owns a 2011 Xero and a 2012.  A great resource.

FYI Shadow:  I sent my batteries off to Best Hybrid Batteries and Mike was extraordinary.  He communicated clearly my options then kept me abreast of all stages of testing.  I am getting the batteries back in a few days and cannot wait to bring the bike back to life.

Based on the crickets, I've done a lot more work and found several threads starring me to rebuild the original battery packs.  Working with a couple of smarter friends I'll report back on what we've found so that others may learn.

Thank you for the post with link.  I have been attempting to contact that outfit but nothing yet.

Would you know of a link to the factory spec for the 2011 XU Battery?  Since I have two dead batteries I am considering building my own as others have done vs. sending it out.  Thanks for all your help.

Hello.
I have recently been given a 2011 XU complete with 2 battery packs.  Upon Charging I get the dreaded low voltage indicator lights (2x blinks).
Reading here in the forum I don't find a serious replacement or method to bring this bike back to life.

I contacted Zero and the proposed solution is to ship it back to them for a $3,000 refurb.  I found that interesting as I didn't really share what the problem was.

Can anyone help me understand whether there's an alternative to getting this bike to run?
