I recently went for the 2017 with CT in a similar choice. Spent less and I haven’t yet found the charge time to be problematic. I suppose going for a long day of riding I could get stuck somewhere for a couple hours while charging, but with these bikes that’s just kinda the deal.

I’m keeping my ICE bikes with the idea that I could go get lost with them easier.... but haven’t started them since buying my Zero.

The S, particularly this 2013, is lower and more leaned forward in posture. It’s basically the same geometry, but the larger front wheel and different handlebars make a difference for sure. The DSR is a little less nimble, but still a great handling bike.

Taking delivery this afternoon! I went through quite a headache getting insurance sorted... a couple companies said they couldn’t cover (including AAA at first), and another wanted ridiculous rates, but I finally got AAA (current insurer) for a very decent rate.

Well, all that business about adding the change tank after the fact is irrelevant now.... the deal is made!

By the end of the week I will have my 2017 DSR with Chargetank AND for my wife we got a 2013 S with super low miles and some accessories. The 2013 was low enough, light enough, and fast enough that she was totally sold. The deal for the two together was too good to pass up! (but I will be selling my Triumph Street Triple to help finance the whole situation)

Looking forward to getting to know the Zero/EV community! Can’t wait to get out and ride!

I was led to believe (by Hollywood Electrics) that I could add a charge tank later. They also specifically said that they are no longer dealing with DigiNow though they thought they are good products. They even quoted me a price for an after-purchase charge tank + install (with a very long wait time for parts).... is this just not true?

I’ve got a potential deal lined up on a 2018 DS 13.0... I’ve got a couple ICE bikes, but I’m excited for something really unique and different!

Two main concerns are the range and the price. Reality is that my commute is well within range, probability for a few days without charging. I may add a charge tank later... we’ll see if that seems necessary down the line. The price... well... just gotta decide how much I want it!

Anyway, excited to (most likely) be part of the group soon!
