Yep, the 2017 has 78 ft/lbs of torque. 

I'm not sure what's involved with switching out the battery between the 2 bikes.  Someone with more knowledge would need to answer that.  All I know is the battery is removable on the 2017.

You are correct.  The battery is removable but it's not the modular setup.

2017 Zero FSX ZF6.5 for sale.  Excellent condition with ~5800 miles.  Will come with an external charger.

Rear fender has been chopped.  Shouldn't take much to return to stock...

Tech Help / 2017 Zero FXS LED brake light problem

I converted the brake light and rear blinkers to LED on my '17 FXS. Since doing this I've lost brake regen.  I'm guessing the voltage the LED brake light uses isn't enough to activate the brake regen.  The only option for a fix I can think of is adding a resistor.  I'm not sure which resistor I need or if there's another option besides going back to stock to fix the problem.

I was able to fix the hyperflash by switching out the flasher relay with a NOVITA EP34.

Has anyone done this and had the same issue?  What do I need to do to get brake regen back??
