Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: wheelie practice bike (2014 FX)

I used to be able to wheelie indefinitely on my Sting Ray, and am still comfortable on my mtn bike.
The motorcycle, never goy that down. Cost of learning is too high.

Lightning / Re: Is the CEO lying again about deliveries?
« on: January 31, 2020, 11:32:38 PM »
In response to the original question, no I don’t think so. When has the CEO quoted numbers delivered?
I went to their shop Tuesday. I spoke to Rich.
They don’t have staff for the social media thing, and perhaps the folks who buy these kinds of motorcycles don’t have an interest in sharing, er showing off, or making public, their expensive toys. Rich did post o FakeBook three weeks ago. The nature of Bookfarce is you have to look every couple hours to stay engaged. Some of us don’t do that... anyhow, that seems to annoy some, to the point of speculating (er, making shit up) and posting it on YouTuber.
You folks who have or have ridden these bikes know the truth.

I pressed Rich for production numbers and he would not tell. Seriously, for a limited production company trying to defend against trolls there is no point in responding.

As soon as I finish this I am going to ride my Alta.

I didn't know we had a joke section in the Electric Motorcycle Forum.  ::) Let me know if you want me to post some of my jokes, too.   ;)

uh, the internet has sorta become a joke. Fake news and all. Anyone can post anything. Again, and again, and again until it seems real. I laugh.

Lightning / Re: Lightning Open House

The Open House was a non-event....

The free food from the Mexican food catering truck was another story....  Excellent....

yup, the food was yummy. Circumstances compromised the event, but hey, life goes on.

I am trying to keep tracj of weh deleveries will happen. Stay tuned.

This is interesting.

Our CHP guy, Tim, participated in our slow race. He was bumped out in early eliminations. Solid dude, ex AFM roadracer too.

Boosted Boards came with demo rides; way fun. https://boostedboards.com Waaaay fun. I rode the short board, the long board and the scooter. Really nice fun solid functional products. I approve.

warm, but pretty awesome. Several Strikes were there. And other stuff, And yum food. and... https://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=535321&page=3
I cant possibly move the pics to here. There will be more coming up on BARF.
Big fun.

Come to think of it, I do not know to what extent the shop is air conditioned. The conference room is. The bathrooms are.

Three questions, why have you been silent until now? Can you please give us a ride report and details? Finally, any photos or video to show us this historic event?

I must admit this announcement concerns me. Previous short announcement said there would be public rides of the Strike. This announcement no longer says that.

I try to share all the important moto stuff I can with our community, but there are too many venues to get them all. Post 152 here https://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533363&page=11 is the Strike I rode around the block. It was not a proper test ride. You need a racetrack for that.

I really focus on OHV access issues because the dirtbike community is ill informed. SB249 would have destroyed our SVRA system. SB767, currently in the assembly, seriously threatens our State Parks. I still mean to hassle Kamila Harris about Clear Creek. It’s a time thing, man...

There will be a formal presentation at 1pm, indoors. They have air conditioning.

If you have any specific questions, post them here and I will ask them.

"the most affordable premium electric motorcycle available today"

Not yet it aint, and I won't believe it till I see it. No updates whatsoever on their website makes me wonder.

See it Saturday! I actually rode it a few months ago, not production ready yet.
Am I going to see any of you guys on Saturday?

Lightning / Re: Lightning Strike Unveiled

ah, the benifits of being a shrimp...
I am not very folded up riding my R6, and am not on the Lightning. I suppose most folks have longer parts than my 5'-6" geometry.

We can discuss it with Rich on the 27th, eh? Are you guys coming?
