If Zero goes belly-up, it won't be because of imported parts or tariffs; it'll be because of their own complete lack of customer support or service. There's only a small market of people who have both the desire and the money to buy electric motorcycles, and Zero has made sure that those people won't be repeat customers. Myself included.

It's been a month, and two things have happened in that time:

1) I've driving the Zero on several trips around town. Everything from around the block to 10 miles. Everything is running and charging as always. Although I'm nervous about it refusing to start again since I didn't really do anything to fix it, part of me is wondering if it was a one-time fluke.

2) On Day-one, I did what Zero's manual says to do and emailed the company. I sent them several screenshots of what I find when I connect my laptop to the OBD2 port under the seat. But all I've received from them are the same form emails, telling me to go to the nearest dealer (which is 4 hours away!) and trying to tell me to use their app, which I did 3 times and which doesn't work at all like they think it does. Really frustrating that their expensive motorcycle only made it to 4,000 miles before conking out, yet all they do is let the interns waste my time and not get anyone technical involved with troubleshooting the actual problem.

  As much as I've loved this motorcycle so far, if this is what Zero's parts-quality and customer-support are like, I might be going back to gasoline-powered motorcycles soon. I never had an internal-combustion engine go kaput after just 4,000 miles.

My 2016 Zero SR only has a little over 4,000 miles on it. I've owned it for about 2 years and it's been very reliable until today. Suddenly, with no warning at all, the motorcycle won't move. When I twist the throttle, I see the red light flash "21".
 The manual says "Contactor Error", whatever that means. There is no dealer anywhere near here, and even if there were, I prefer to fix things myself.
Has anybody else had this problem? I'm going to connect my laptop to the Zero tomorrow and see if anything looks unusual.

I advise NEW2elec and other forum trolls that if they don't want to buy the battery, they are free to simply pass and move along in life, without making unwanted comments.

 Contrary to what NEW2elec puked up, the battery is NOT degraded and, according to Zero's website, this power-tank is compatible with SR's ranging from 2015 - 2021, similar to what I originally wrote when I posted the ad. However, I'm not convinced it won't also fit in a 2014 model and I'm also not convinced that it isn't a plug-and-play installation. When I inspected a 2014 model, all of the wiring and plugs looked identical to my 2016.

 If, like NEW2elec, you are one of the few people who even HAS a local dealer (many of us do not) and if you enjoy throwing money at said dealer (many of us do not) then by all means: go there and spend the $3,000+ that the local dealers charge (according to Zero's website.)

 In the meantime, my working, low-mileage power-tank battery is still for sale for $1,000.

I have the extra range-extending power-pack battery on my 2016, but I'd rather have the storage space instead.
 Nothing at all wrong with this battery.
 The motorcycle only has a little over 3K miles on it.
 It looks like the battery will fit perfectly on a 2014, 2015, and possibly other years.

 I'd like to sell my battery, mounting hardware, and the "gas tank" that goes with this battery for $1000 plus your old "gas tank" that has the storage compartment. My SR is red.

I'm located in south Texas. Meeting somewhere in person would be a lot easier than mailing this big battery and plastic "tank".

I'm having the exact same problem; I've owned my 2016 SR for about 9 months and the yellow ABS light has always been on. (I thought it was normal until I read the manual a few days ago.)
Did you ever make the video of what you measured/changed?
Do you have any photos that show what the sensor looks like, so I know what to look for?

 I upgraded the lithium-ion battery pack in my 2011 Zero S motorcycle. This is the old one I pulled out. It's about 3.9 kilowatt-hours. It still holds a charge of about 56 volts just fine. But, after more than 10 years, these batteries weren't delivering a high-current demand any more.

 Somebody picked it up today, but I don't know how to delete this ad.
