I charged the battery and redo the dummy pot. wiring, plugged it to the bike connector directly (not throught throttle plug) . For some reason bike came to life.
My Magura pot is ~200 ohms @0 position, so I think way too much to be considered as 0.

I ordered new throttle, it's now fixed !

I checked who that guy was, but no unfortunatly (or hopefully ?) I didn't own british motorcycles. I own very unreliable motorcycle, but it was because anti-theft alarm... such a bad thing, always battery down.

I think this is the old model without switch built-in. This is the Magura throttle:

I have only 3 ways of investigation now:
- BMS didn't reset correctly and did not see the new component
- New pot have not the same behavior as the orginal one
- don't know... bad?

Hello,

I suddently had the warning sequence for a faulty throttle (1 flash then 3), after research on the forum I saw that the magura is not reliable.
Before changing the throttle I want to be sure:

I cleaned the connector with contact spray

I checked the pot on magura, values are not very smooth and 0 value is quite high ~200 ohms. prolly faulty

I checked with a standard 5k pot. No more error on dash board, but nothing happened when I turn the pot.
(btw no error also when pot is at max when turn on the bike ?)

I performed a hardware reset before and after

I have exhausted my checks...

Zero S - 2014 - logs not available as I can't update througt app (contact dealer pop up)

Log sent to Zero, BMS resetted. Ride and See.

BMS diodes sequences is not reported in the manual, 2sec off 50ms (i guess) on.

Powerful utility!

Errors codes that have been logged: 0x45C5 (High capacitor), 0x46C3 (??), 0x54C1 (DSP Overvoltage), 0x45C8 (Vcap above rated max), 0x4981(Throttle Fault) and finally 0x5101 (Line Contactor o/c).

I have a
"Low Chassis Isolation" on cell 3-4-5-6
and
"Batt Dischg Cur Limited" with the highest value of report at 69% SoC, which seems to me not normal operation...

Temperatures are around 20°C and weather is light rain.

Not an optimistic log...

I traded my XJ6 to a Zero S ZF11.4 one month ago.

On the way to go to work my Zero suddently stopped. I didn’t know that the flashing sequence may give an indication on problem, didn’t write down...
My batt was around 30% at that time, power limited despite a full power custom mode, heated grip on, no high temperature light, gentle ride.

I have travelled 1000km so behaviour of power management is not complety clear for me.
Typical travell is : 30km back home ~70%, 30km to work ~40% charging to 100%.

I have noticed the following, don’t know if normal :
Full power from 100% to ~40%
Under ~40% power is limited, top speed seems limited by available power.
Another thing that might be interested to report, I stopped (once) charging around 92%, 2 hours after, battery was 100%.

Note : no power tank, no quick charger, oxford heated grip installed.

I found the technical datasheet of the power supply nexus 7000 but not so much information about outputs. It seems that is 50v-120A.

I understood that the overcurrent protection of PSUs shall be "constant current type" to simulate a dedicated charger.

You are correct meanwell vs third party equipement, cost saving seems tight.

Actually I try to evaluate cost of a DIY motorbike for a race track, so the charger dont have to be water/dust/vibration proof.

A power supply as I quoted can be founded for less than 80€.

With a limited power, selected to limit the maximum current of battery spec, it will perform a constant power then constant voltage charger.
