Hi folks,

It is cold in my place and I was wondering if, in the morning when I get my Zero which slept outside, I have to drive slowly until the temperature of my battery raise to a minimum before going fast ?
The batteries do not like when it is cold and when we ask them to provide power, so is there a range which is better ?

Thanks

Thanks for you replies,

As for my 2016 S, well, it works fine but I had some issues :
- The screen for some time in the winter did not work and was blank when ON, and then after a big rain, it started to work again, randomly and for few months not it works everytime.
- I have a strange thing about the rear brake. When I stop with the unit and keep my foot on the brake (and maybe with a ground which is not perfectly flat), then when I release the pedal I can feel that the brake is maybe a bit stuck and if I give a kick down on the pedal, I can hear a bit CLACK noise and the feeling disappears.. Any idea ?

Other than that I found it to be reliable. But you know, sometimes, with new products, you have issues..

Thanks

Hi folks,

I have a 2016 S and I would like to purchase a new one, demo unit of 2018 SR.
I was wondering for those who are ridding the 2018 iterations of the S and SR if you consider the machines as a good version, reliable , .. ?
What comment would you have ?

Especially if you had previous versions before...
Thanks

Hi,
With a powerful electric motor, I don't understand why there isn't a mode where the motor applies counter torque if the bike is moved. That would make a great parking brake...

Hi folks,

Something I really would like to see in a Zero Motorcycle, and I don't know why I'm not seeing it already is :
- A virtual lock, when the keyfob is set on the lock for the handlebar, that would lock rear wheel with the electrical motor. The Segway PT has that mode and when you try to move the machine, the wheels are locking themselves.
- A way to prevent the machine from starting when stolen using the App and the serial number of the unit (quite obvious). And maybe to tell the owner where is his bike when somebody is trying to pair his phone to the stolen Zero.
- An option to get the rear red light to work when you are in the highest mode of regenerative braking (like the Tesla).

Someday maybe.

Cheers.

Hi folks,

I have a Zero S that I just bought few weeks ago and I noticed a ground wire that is loose below the front light. Can you please tell me what this cable is for ? and if I "must" put it back because the bike seems to work fine without it..

Thanks

Franswa
