Drain the battery to 0% (until the power meter starts to flash) and then load up to 100%
I do this once a year, see my data from recent years
Unfortunately, I did not do this the first year.
The last time I put it on a jack and drove it even further, I stopped after 10km.

Think that after 63,000 km I now lost 5% of my battery, very neat.

I went into my garage and I noticed that my 2015 SR was showing 00 SOC when plugged into the onboard charger.

I turned on the Error display on the dash and I get the following according to the Unofficial Manual:

6 BMS Throttle Enable Wire Error - throttle
40 BMS Throttle En Wire Disable - Throttle
48 SEVCON Startup Disable - Controller
49 Contactor Open Disable- Contactor
25 Contactor Open Warning - Contactor
30 BMS CAN Error - BMS
57 Module Did Not Connect - BMS

Yikes! Any ideas?

I've had that a few times already

After pulling the two cables on the Main Bike Board (MBB) 10 minutes all worked well again.
Pulled the logs, the MMB was set to 01-01-1970 (later on the date was set automatically to today).
Maybe you can try the same?

Sorry, but I don't understand. I've got the app because I set my "custom" setting with it, but dont understand the technical stuff, and I can't find instructions anywhere on how to do that stuff or even use the app. I figured out how to pair the app to my bike and set the custom settings, but nothing else. The charge stats don't even match the bike at all, not even close and I don't have it in demo mode. The dash says Batt is at 60%, but app says 87%.

Are you sure you're not in Demo mode?
Demo mode is 87% batt.

alko, You can download and email this via the zero app.
On my android phone the app crashes after download, but you can manually select the files from:
local files/android/data/com.ZeroMotorcycles/files

And then mail them to your dealer.

I clicked on "email bike logs" but nothing happened.

alko, the app workes oke? can see batt stats en volt and so on?
and is not in Demo mode (you see your own bike)?
maybe you can try it with another phone (or tablet).
You still have time with me I can look back a 2000km in one log.
And every 1000 km I download a log.

That worked! I don't know how you knew that butvi am so glad there are smarter people than me on here. Those cables are packed so damn tight that I had to cut some zip ties to get them loose.
Thanks so much! I hope it never happens again.

That's good to read !!!
I posted the problem on the Benelux facebook group, there were fortunately also smart members ;-)

alko: Please pull the two logs and let the dealer send them to Zero?
And let us know the results?
I'm curious if their findings are the same as with mine logs!!

Have fun with your Zero, and many safe kilometers!!!

Unfortunately, I don't know how to pull logs.

Burpman thanks for posting this fix.  Sorry if I'm a bit daft about what your talking about disconnecting but your arrows are to the multi wire plug on the left side and a covered plug on the right side?
Do you need to remove anything but the seat to get to them?
Thanks.

hi NEW2elec, I mean the two big plugs that go to the The Main Bike Board (MBB).
https://zeromanual.com/wiki/Unofficial_Service_Manual#Main_Bike_Board.
i just removed the seat en released both plugs about 10mm for 30 sec.
No zip ties cutting needed.

Need Help: 2017 dsr shows empty when I just charged it last night. Drove it 2 miles this morning and stopped for lunch. When I tried to leave, it wouldn't go. Lights work, but red light blinks and battery shows zero percent charge. Checked all normal stuff like cutoff switch and kickstand, but even than, it should still show full battery.
Still had 60% when I hooked it up last night.

I can hardly believe I am reading this now, had yesterday afternoon the exact the same issue.
(DS 2017 40250 km)
But after switching on I did have error codes:

6: BMS throttle enable wire error
25: Contactor open warning
40: BMS throttle en wire disable
47: MBB Charger Connected Disable.
48: SEVCON Startup Disable
49: Contactor open disable

After pulling the two cables on the Main Bike Board (MBB) 30 secs the contractor closed en all worked well again.
Pulled the logs, the MMB was set to 01-01-1970 (later on the date was set automatically to today).
Maybe you can try the same?

Previous version allowed me to email the logs from my '13FX, but they would not parse.  New version crashes after downloading the log, never gets to the "Send Email" screen!
 :-\

Same here, before sending mail the app puts the file also local to: \Android\data\com.ZeroMotorcycles\files
All the previous send files can be found there also.

I pushed mine as far forward as I could with the caps off. The wind noise was still really loud. I had to cut 3/4" off the bottom so I can angle it up more and not hit the plastic around the light. Finally a lot quieter. I also do not get the headlight reflection anymore. This is due to the turndown at the very front not there anymore. This is the area that reflected the light onto the screen.

Best tip of the year, thanks!!!
Was on the verge of buying a larger screen, but is not necessary anymore ;-)
Cut 10mm of my windscreen.
Big different already.
Try this a while and maybe cut off even more.

I have an FX in the Netherlands. The headlight is ok. Not brilliant. But fine for dark night offroading and polder riding etc.
That's great to hear (read) the other models don't appeal to me that much. And the FXS fits me better.

The FX has the same headlight as the FXS. So the experience with the lights is simular.

Hey BertTrack.

With "other models" i meant other than our FX and (mine to be come) FXS ;-)
What is the longest distance you drove with your FX?

The headlight has been plenty good for me but I don't ride at night a lot. I'll hold down the flash to pass lever to have both bulbs on if I want more light

Tried the DS also but my knee's keeps touching the tank.
I, have terrible long legs (inseam 100cm) ;-)

No, want one march 2017.

Hello Folks

I'm planning to order an 2017 FXS tomorrow.
Still have one question.
Is the headlight sufficient for dark road travel?

Kind regards from a rainy Netherlands ;-)
