Most likely they trigger an interlock to prevent riding the bike with a discharged or unballanced battery.

@igorbaldo Any chance you have a source for this belt? I'm doing the same mod but having trouble sourcing the belts in 14mm width. Thanks!

It is not pre-cut. The company I got it from has it cut in any width they need, but I don't know where (I think it's an official Gates distributor). If you live in the U.S., it might not be difficult to find such a distributor.

Sigh, more range bullshit. The formula is pretty much worked out by now, and it seems to be KWh x 5 = miles for the larger bikes down to about KWh x 10 for the smaller bikes, more or less, so anything outside of this range has to be viewed with extreme scepticism. Looks nice though.

Cas :)

I agree completely. The factories keep on throwing us these irrealistic numbers obtained in PERFECT conditions and ingenious calculations. Really annoying!

I've made a set of electrical schematics for the bike, which are available on the Unofficial Manual: https://zeromanual.com/wiki/S_Platform/Schematic.

Any beeps or lights flashing? If not, you can rig up a DC 12 V power source (at least 2 A) in the connector 'PANEL 12V' on the main harness (it's one of the 2 connectors on the back of the battery box) to test the bike systems apart from the battery (and, obviously, the motor). If it works, start digging into the battery box...

I would rather prefer to move over to belt drive, but it would help to understand that option a bit better.

Thanks for the valuable information! I hope I don't need to follow your steps!   :'(

I wish Brian a quick recovery and return to activity.  :) :)

These pictures are from a 2012S battery pack. As you can see, Zero utilized the EIG holders on them...

EDIT: the last picture shows what probably leads to fault.

Fantastic work! Thank you very much!  :)

It comes with the Agni 95-R motor, which is now produced by Saietta. I think could be replaced by the corresponding Lynch motor. Other motors may require frame modifications. For the battery, if you are in USA, the best option is to replace the cells by 7 Nissan Leaf battery modules (search for a thread in this forum), and be happy!
