I have a 2015 Zero S and after an hour it feels like I have been on a horse all day. I bought a Corbin seat but other than looking nicer it was no better than the stock seat.
Recently I purchased an Air Hawk seat and have found it to be a definite improvement. The stock seat offers no incentive to buy a fast charger i.e. I can't wait to recharge my bike and ride another 80 miles!

The bike has been completely reliable but I did have a few issues.

1) The belt made an annoying noise at low speeds (5-18 MPH).
The dealer sprayed silicone on the belt but the noise persisted. I discovered my belt tension was way too high (45 kg).
The noise disappeared after I lowered the belt tension to 26 kg.

2) The end of the power cord would get very hot when charging. This was solved by making a cheater cord that plugs into a 220 V outlet. The charging time is the same but since the current is cut in half the cord stays at room temperature.

If you read my post on Belt Tension (Reply #26) you can see pictures of the gauge that I used to adjust the belt on my 2015 S. I think that it is an accurate gauge but it is expensive.

I have a 2015 Zero S 12.5 and the charging cord is connected to a 25' 14 AWG extension cord which plugs into a 20 amp outlet. The end of the charging cord that is plugged into the Zero is hot but not too hot to touch. I cannot hold onto the other end of the charging cord as it is very hot. The charging cord is warm in between the ends but the extension cord is not warm. Has anyone modified their charging cord so that it can be plugged into a 220v outlet thereby cutting the amperage in half?

I bought a belt tension gauge from Amazon for $115 (OTC 6673). A little pricey but probable cheaper then taking it to the dealer to adjust the belt tension which seemed very tight. My motto is "you don't always get what you pay for but you always pay for what you get". The rear end of my 2015 Zero S was raised off the floor and the tension was 100 lbs or 45 Kg. Before loosening the axle nut I painted white dots on the frame and nut so that I would know exactly how much to tighten the nut. After loosening the axle nut I turned the bolts 5 flats. My torque wrench only goes to 100 ft lbs and it took more than that to line up the dots. Maybe 110 ft-lbs. After the adjustment the tension was 57 lbs or 26 Kg. I'm about in the middle of the range of 20 to 30 Kg. Have not taking it out for a test drive yet. Looked for torque values in online manual but couldn't find any.

Has anybody got there new seat and if so how do you like it as far as comfort and looks.

I have had my 2015 Zero S for a year and it is a great bike except for one thing -  the seat. After 2 hours I feel as if I have been on a horse all day. Recently I bought a Corbin seat but unfortunately it was no improvement. It looks nice but the widened seat area is much further back and I have to lean forward quite a bit to reach the handlebars. Adjusting the handlebars didn't help. The place where I sit is just as hard as the stock seat. I met a guy that has a Honda Goldwing and he replaced his seat with one made by "Ultimate Seats". Very comfortable seat but I don't think they make any for zeros.
