Experiencing the same issue here (in the UK) too with iOS 10 and the Zero app.

I experienced exactly these symptoms today on my 2016 DSR, which I bought in June. I also found that I can no longer connect using the iPhone app. I tried to do so to access the bike logs.

Did you ever find out what the problem was or what caused it?

Either way, it looks like a trip to the dealer is in order.

I had a silly thought earlier today that "Riders on the Strom" would be a great name for a German electric bikers' club.

Strom = electricity or power.

I know, I know. Terrible pun.

;)

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Zero DSR ZF13 Handlebar Diameter
« on: May 01, 2016, 09:35:53 PM »
Do any existing owners (or anyone, come to that) know what the diameter of the handlebars of the 2016 DSR ZF13, or could measure them for me, please?

I'm picking up my DSR in the next 2-3 weeks and I'm interested in mounting a GPS cradle for the Zumo 590 in the middle section of the bars, below the ignition key and when I took over the RAM mount kit which came with the Zumo over to Street Bike yesterday, we found that the U bolt is too small to fit around the diameter of the handlebars. I don't want to fit the cradle to the handlebars where they taper down, but in the middle part. I know that I can get hold of a U bolt separately, but I'm a bit stuck without measuring the handlebars and stupidly didn't think to check them while I was there.

Charlie at Streetbike has said they'll figure something out, as Street Bike will fit the cradle for me, but I'd like to be helpful if I can by ordering a suitable, decent U bolt and having it delivered directly to them.

I can't find any reference to the size in specs or searches, so am hoping that someone in the community can help out.

Thanks in advance!

General Discussion / Hello from me
« on: May 01, 2016, 09:24:09 PM »
Hi all

Just introducing myself, as requested.

I'm based in Warwickshire, England, and have recently ordered a Zero DSR ZF13 from Street Bike in Halesowen. Thanks to Charlie and Alex there for the test rides and for sorting out my order.

I headed over there again yesterday and saw that the bike had arrived, so now just awaiting the documentation to come through before I can get my greasy mitts on it.  :)

I've been interested in the Zero range for a while and electric vehicles generally for even longer. I bought a Nissan LEAF back in October 2014 and that has been our only family car since then.

Earlier this year I qualified as a local observer with the Institute of Advanced Motorists and since we do lots of check rides of the kind of distance that a Zero could cope with, and because I want my ICE bike (a 2007 Honda CBF 1000) to survive as long as possible for longer trips, around the UK and to continental Europe, I decided to take a closer look again, now that Zero have returned to the UK market. The attitude of Street Bike is reassuring and I hope and trust that Zero are here to stay in the UK market, now that the wider public is gradually losing its scepticism over EVs, probably largely thanks to Tesla.

I'll be interested in finding out about rapid charging options at some point, but am not desperate at the moment.

Anyway, I can't wait to get up and riding with the bike. Should be a matter of 2-3 weeks, all being well now!
