My 2015 SR has been running out of power or going into limp mode when the battery is reading 25% power left.
I am barely able to get the bike home when this happens.
I don't know what is causing this. Temp readings are all normal.
This problem makes the machine useless to me.
Has anyone else had this problem?

R&G Racing in England make LED indicators for Zero.
They come with adapter plates and resistors to slow down the flashing.
When you replace incandescent bulbs with LED's sometimes they flash too quickly.
You may even need two sets of resistors which they offer.
The indicators are smaller and are called micro indicators they have two different types.
The adapter plate is mounting them to the bike as they have smaller stems.

Belt tension was something that I worried about a fair bit when I first got my SR.
Too tight and the motor bearing makes a lot of noise, too loose and there is the danger of ratcheting the belt.
I bought all sorts of belt tension gauges when I first started.
The Toledo one with the two prongs and gauge, the Kriket and also the Harley Davidson type.
I even tried the sonic method (supposedly the best).
I found that I was doing a lot of work for nothing.
Gates have a downloadable app that also helps.
Enter in the relevant data and it will give the amount of deflection needed.
About 8mm of deflection half way along the bottom side of the belt seems to work best for me.
I use the Harley style belt gauge to measure this.
Place the tool half way along the bottom side of the belt.
Push upwards until the belt stops moving.
Easy and simple with no messing about.
I have done 15000 km of very hard riding with no problems.

I have noticed that my once bright red SR has started to change colour.
This became noticeable when I bought a new tail piece after an accident.
Looking at photos I took when I first purchased the bike confirms that the colour is fading.
Are Zero using UV stable colour for their plastic body parts ?
I normally store and park the bike under cover as the sun is very strong in this part of the World (Darwin, Australia).
The place where they manufacture these bikes is known as a sunny place so I thought the plastics would be very good for UV stability.
I have never had this problem with other makes of motorcycle that I have owned some of which are getting quite old now.
Is anyone else noticing this with their Zero's.

Owned my 2015 SR for about 6 months.
I was reading a post about someone who touched his screen with a gloved hand and left a permanent mark on it.
Tablet or I-pad protector film is the best way to go but it can be quite difficult to cut to the right shape.
Easy way is to take a photo of the screen.
Use a lens that wont bend the image prefer SLR type camera and take the photo nice and square to the screen.
Print the image in black and white from your PC.
Keep changing the print size until it perfectly matches the actual size of your screen.
You now have a paper cut out that you can use to make a plastic or cardboard template.
Once you have the template making a new film to protect your dash screen is easy.

My next project will be to mould the tank bag bottom so that I can make a fibreglass hard box with a proper lockable lid.
Should look good if I can get the gel coat colour right.
