Tech Help / Re: Clock not functioning 15 DS
« on: September 07, 2018, 09:06:14 AM »
Interesting! My odometer isn’t working anymore, even though the trip odometer still works fine (2016 Zero S). I’ll see if I can find a battery in the display, and replace it if I do.

I have updated firmware on a 2016 S. Had a few days of warmer weather, and got my range back during those days. Hoping your bike will do the same!

I believe I just ordered one straight from his site at http://tucsonev.com

I went with a Koogeek Smart Plug. Not sure how well it would work with just an iPhone. Guessing it works as long as the phone is on your wifi (so it wouldn't do anything if you're not at home). The nice thing is that it keeps track of your electricity use (real time and historical). Rated for 15a. Used it for about half a year. Seems to hold up. Did have it set to turn on twice so that if it fails due to some network issue, it'll just try again a few minutes later.

Tech Help / Re: Kill A Watt alternative
« on: January 01, 2017, 12:10:12 AM »
I'm trying out a HomeKit-compatible Koogeek
Smart Plug. Mainly wanted it so I can schedule when my Zero charges, but it does show current power in Watts and seems to track total power consumption per month. For the scheduling to work you do need an iOS device that's always at home. Description claims 15A,1800W, so I'm hoping it won't die [emoji3]

This video sums it up for me:

That triangle is just to let you know that you can't drive off (because the stand is down). Is a safety feature. Mine does the same thing. If you open the throttle with it down you'll notice the bike won't move :)

I've solved problems like that with other apps by simply removing the app from the phone, and then reinstalling it. Might be worth a try.

I do like those flashes before it goes solid. Maybe we can add that to the wishlist for the 2017 Zero. In the mean time I might go for that GearBrake after all.

I was considering adding a GearBrake. It has all Zero 2015 models except the fx listed as being compatible. What's holding me back is that I'd have no idea if it's working, since I can't see my own break light :)

I'd like to see the brake light turn on when using regenerative braking. Thinking that should be an easy improvement.
