I replaced that crappy stock front tire on my DS as well. The shop didn't report any weirdness in the tube, but the bike rides A LOT nicer with a decent front tire.

We ordered 100 16Ah 40160 Headway cells from Dave Kois at Current EV Tech (http://www.currentevtech.com/) and were quite happy with the transaction. While we haven't every ordered directly from China, I've heard from colleagues that the hidden expenses (import duty, etc) and hassles make it not worth the apparent savings.
