These bars have quite a choice in bends:

Pro Taper Contour bars

If your bike has removable risers, I'd definitely give them and their bolts a quick check for tweaking and/or looseness, along with the entire fork/wheel assembly.  Also, a fall hard enough to bend the bars visibly may also have bent them invisibly inside the throttle tube, which may have loosened it up inside even though the tube itself's not cracked (if it's a Magura as it looks like, the tube should have little play relative to the housing with the throttle off the bars).  The Domino throttle upgrade mentioned is a great idea IMO - I've been real happy with mine.

As with my bars (Contour Raptors), I don't know if the MX-style grips I'm using now would work for you - they're Renthal G094 (full waffle. hard compound).  I really like how the Renthals' sharp edges remain easy to grip even when my arms are tired, and also that they don't slip at all on either the bars or throttle tube.

Thanks! Any suggestions on which bend to order on the Pro-Taper's?  All the choices have my mind spinning. 

I was hit on my Zero S by a car changing lanes without signalling/checking blind spots yesterday.     I escaped with a bruised ankle, but the right side handlebar on the bike was bent so I'd like to replace the bar and the throttle grip. 

Any recommendations for third party handlebars and throttle grips for the Zero S?  I'd be open to more dual sport style bars that let me sit more upright.  Thanks!

Does anyone know of an aftermarket shorty front brake lever that will fit a 2015 Zero S? I'm finding the stock one too bulky for my tastes.

Just bought a used DX screen off craigslist and I'm going to try to mount it to the Zero tonight.  Definitely going to be a struggle since, as someone pointed out before, the Zero's bars are tapered and the center section is too big for the mounts.   Luckily I only paid $25 for it, so not a huge loss if I can't find a way to get it to work.

Loosen the existing end with an allen wrench, then put the new ones in and tighten the assembly with an allen wrench, more or less. Bar ends usually have a couple of pieces that are meant to press against the inner part of the bar. Use blue loctite if you feel like you want it to stay more securely.

BrianTRice, any idea if the ones you used will fit a 2015 S? Also, the current cap for my bar ends doesn't seem to have any place to use an allen wrench to open.  Any suggestions?

Any chance you could post a picture of the slipstreamer installed? Also, could you pass along the model number for the slipstreamer that fits?

I spend most of my time commuting on the 405 into century city (LA folks will understand).  Even with lane sharing, I basically never go that fast for stretches longer than 5-10 minutes minutes and I need to get very lucky for that to happen.      

I don't race and hardly ever go that fast even when riding for pleasure.  I'm just happy to be on 2 wheels.    

Not seeing much benefit for me to pay extra for the 16 or be stuck driving a car until the 16s are available in January, but I appreciate all the input.

I don't think the battery difference will be a big issue for me.

The heat, on the other hand, might be a concern.  I live in Los Angeles, so yeah, it can get hot.  Curious if anyone else has had issues with overheating in the summers in LA (or in this year, the fall.. .  That being said, I only have about a 25 mile commute (20 on the highway), so I probably won't push it to that point.
