Normally on a 220V system you can use 2,2kW on a 10A breaker circuit. If your breaker is 40A you can use 8,8kW.
I have never heard of “maximum contracted power”, but maybe it is a restriction due to a weak local grid. Anyway your breaker should not trip if it’s 40A.

As long as they have the 1C cap enabled it won't make any difference whether or not they can use DC stations in Europe, as the SR/F is very nearly at the limit with its 12kW units.

Well, we will have to pay extra for the charger, add extra weight to the bike and rely on extra electronics that can fail ... all really unnecessary.

I have tried to fix it, but I still have this problem from time to time.

The last replacement belt that I bought from my dealer for my 2014 S cost $80 USD.  (I haven't needed to use it yet.)  I might add that it seemed to be a standard Gates belt part.

I just ordered a new belt from the Norwegian dealer - similar cost as AUS $ 250. That should be more than double the US $80 price.

My problem is a small stone in the belt:

Anyone who has experience with this problem? What is the probability for the belt to snap? Should I remove the stone? Change the best ASAP?

The wire is very easy to solder, the bottom of the switch assembly just pops off and you can get to the wires. Then you can fill it with silicon sealant before you snap it back on so it won't happen again. A new switch could fail again in the future!

Thanks for the advise. Before I do that I will check with the dealer that I won't loose my warranty if I fix it myself.

In the long run there's no doubt DC charging is the future but the future isn't quite here yet.

To "help the future" I've been in contact with NMCU (Norwegian Motor Cycle Union), and they have promised to check with the companies setting up the charging stations if they really don't support 100V DC charging. If they don't support the standard, maybe it can be possible to make them aware of the problem?
If we all try to make our National MC organisations (& FEMA - Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations & US ?) aware of this problem maybe we can have the future come faster ...
