I appreciate the feedback. I might have to take another trip to Raleigh.  My one and only experience there was strange. I was in the area and stopped in to see what they had.  On their floor, they had a used 2012 FX (I think, might have been a 2013) and a new/demo 2015 FX.  I asked about pricing and was given virtually the same price for both.  When I asked why the 2012 wasn't cheaper, I was first told that it wasn't a 2012 but was instead a new 2015, just the same as the (obviously different) one right next to it.  I pushed back a little on that, and was then told the pricing "is what it is" and they can't do anything better.  So I went home.

As a potential buyer, my biggest concern is that the dealer from whom I buy won't be as helpful and knowledgeable as I'd like should there be problems. As a former Buell guy, I have first hand experience with this problem arising when a dealer views the product as a novelty. So, I thought it might be helpful for other potential buyers if there was a thread in which people list their dealer and speak to whether that dealer has been helpful and knowledgeable or not.  I live in Winston-Salem, NC, so I am particularly interested in experiences with Frontline Eurosports in Salem, VA; Motorcycles of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC; or Team Power Sports in Raleigh, NC.

So you want a more offroadable version of the FXS? First, trade the street tires for dual sport tires (personally I suggest Pirelli MT90s), and loose those cast wheels for wire rims. While you're at it, how about adding 2 inches of suspension travel to the forks. If only Zero offered a package like that, I'd get one in a heart beat. It's like an FXS but without the S.

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I'm after. Since I'll be on the street 85-90% of the time, I'm after a bike setup for the street but which I might be able to quickly convert to more dirt capable (and back again) from time to time for planned trail excursions. My understanding is that the FXS has both tires and suspension that are geared toward street riding. That's a plus for me in most scenarios.  I'm also short, so I kind of like the lower ride height even though I understand it sacrifices off-road ability.  For me though, thats not a big deal since I'm not going to be hitting triples or anything.

I'm seriously considering doing what I can to get my hands on an FXS.  I'm being held back by the fact that I'd like to do the occasional trail riding.  Forest roads, etc.  Nothing particularly aggressive.  With a supermoto handle that kind of task?  If not, how expensive would it be to have an extra set of rims/nobbys to swap out for that kind of riding - and how big of a job is that kind of swap?  Is it something that can be done in an hour or two?

Hi all. I'm new here. I attempted to search back through previous posts to ensure I'm not asking something that has already been answered.  Hopefully I didn't overlook a thread.  Anyway, as the subject says, I'm interested to know what people have been paying for their 2015 FX models.

 I have three dealers within three hours of me. I've not yet called any of them for a price, and only one has a price listed on their site. It is exactly MSRP, and I'm sure they will add on dealer fees in addition to tax and title. Before I talk to the dealers, I'm hoping you guys will arm me with some knowledge.  Are these being sold for less than MSRP, or do they stand firm on MSRP?
