Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Battery age symptoms
« on: October 16, 2018, 12:38:16 AM »
Hello I have a Zero sr 2014 with power pack . Now it have 88,000 kilometers on odometer. About 2 months ago I began to notice a drop in power, I could not reach the 165 k/h that I had previously reached easily. It reaches 145 k/h maximum. When reviewing with the dealer, signs of aging were detected and a change of the main pack was authorized by guarantee. Now I am waiting for the pack and today hardly reaches 120. Exceptional torque no longer exists and is like driving in echo mode all the time. I hope my experience will help you

I put it together like factory, with rubber seals.
New bearings are sealed.
Attached rudimentary scheme I hope you understand, I'm sorry for the basics but I do not have any other. I used the original aluminum parts in my case were intact and not damaged.
Attached photos of how it is today. In the photos you can see the aluminum part and the rubber seal

In addition to the bearings you must buy the rubber seals of bearings, send photo reference. I do not have a part number, In my case one was not destroyed and used to buy new ones.

The bearings of my sr 2014 failed to 18,000.
Replace them with Japanese sealed bearings. Today with 60000 k are still perfect.

I am very sorry for what you are saying and I hope you can find your zero.
Install a gps like this in my zero sr 2014, as it has battery can run up to 7 days. When you turn on motorcycle charge the battery again. I know it's not infallible but I hope it helps if they ever steal it

A few months ago I had a similar noise. After much searching at the end was noise coming from the belt. I was solved with dry silicone spray. Only happened at low speeds (no more than 20 k/h)

I had the same problem in my sr2014 and finally I replaced my board with a new one by warranty. The board is only monitor the motorcycle works perfect even without it.
Waiting for the parts I drove several days with blank board

In your country, do the public charging stations use connector Mennekes? How do you charge your motorcycles zero on these charging stations, is there any kind of adapter? How did you solve the protective circuit of the station, the one that does not activate the charge unless you provide the control signal from vehicle.  Zero only sells the j1772 adapter but the stations that I have available are all Mennekes type2 and I haven’t been able to find an adapter or how to make one."

« on: August 15, 2015, 10:41:04 PM »

Your times are useless without giving your weight. You will notice that the 20kg powertank takes the SR from 3.3 to 3.9 for 0 -60 m/hr.
If the official 0-60 time is by a 60kg rider, does that make the result invalid? if you weight 80kg then expect YOUR times to be slower. I don't know how many times I read articles about acceleration test that are slower than the official sales material, and then discredit the times. Everyones times will be different. So what is the point to do it?????

excuse me, my weight is 84 kg (185lb)  Sr is standard w/o power tank.
Regards
