I can confirm that this approach works on my Zero SR 2015. I just use an isolated DC-DC converter and put 5 V with a 100 mA fuse in series to avoid issues. Important that the DC-DC is isolated!

Wow! Super thanks! I was facing the same issue! Extra tip for adventurers! The brass pin that holds the rest can be easily released/reintroduced by just pushing with your finger the locking tab, there is no need to do anything more. It just falls!

I'm experiencing problems with the app. It always crashes when I switch from imperial system to metric system. Does anybody here experience the same issue? Because it's driving me crazy, I have the bike in metric system and the app in the imperial system. Everytime I try to change it it just crashes. I've tried in several phones, reinstalling the app, even in demo mode. Nothing worked. I remember that the first time I connected the bike it worked, but at some point it simply crashed.

Hi!

I have a Zero SR 15 with PT. So far I have reach 12000 km with it, mostly highway. My commute is 130 km everyday. Twice a week I travel 170 instead of the 130. The average speed is 100 km/h (about 60 mph). Everyday I come home with the bike at 10-20 % battery left, depending on speed and/or weather conditions. So right now, the bike is being put a lot of use. The day I bought it, three months ago, it showed 14.03 kWh. I checked it again last week and I read the same. I could say the bike is doing a good job, at least for now. I'm just praying for the range not lowering down when the winter comes. Otherwise, I'll have to lower the speed.

It's nice to hear that other people are having similar numbers to those I'm having.

Hello.

It's been 700 km on my 2015 SR with power tank. I do a 120 km highway commuting plus 10 km in the city. The bike has an average of 70 Wh/km which means ~110 Wh/mile. My trip only has 100 m ramp and I am going at 100-105 kph or 63-65 mph. I usually arrives home with 131 km and around 25% of battery, so the remaining range is approximately 40 km.

If I go at 115-120 kph I get the 150 km range that the dealer says. If I use eco mode or custom with 75% regen and 0% torque at mentioned speeds of 100 kph I can easily reach 180 km of range.
