On the dealer question I recently had a very good experience with a dealer in central Jersey. Mt. Holly motorsports in Vincentown NJ is very attentive and knowledgeable about Zeros both on the sales and service ends.

I have a set of 38mm oil and dust seals that I got from Zero that you could have. It took Zero a while to get them but eventually they came through. Or check out this link. I think these are the correct size. Contact me directly with any questions. jondherron@verizon.net

Are you looking for somewhere to purchase a set of seals??  I recently bought a set of seals for a 2013 S with the FastAce forks. Let me know if info on where to buy these seals would be of help.

I replaced the Fastace rear shock on my 2013 S with a Wilbers. They can be bought from EPM Wilbers in New Jersey or Ted Porters Beemershop in California, just down the road from the Zero factory. I have used Wilbers shocks on my Beemers for years  The Wilbers replacement is longer than the stock Fastace so the bike sits higher and needs a longer kickstand (available from Zero) but it vastly improves the bike's handling and the craftsmanship of the shock is spectacular.

You are correct that the set screw is very difficult to find. It is located in one of the sides of the 24mm hex nut, perpendicular to the long axis of the 10mm allen bolts. It is actually on the edge of the nut. The best way to locate it is to use a small mirror and a strong flashlight. On mine the set screw was in the facet of the nut that was facing straight forward. 2013 S 8.5 with only 3400 miles. Used for city commuting during warm weather. Round trip commute only 16 miles, all city. Split the week between bicycle and Zero. Still take long trips and weekend jaunts on IC bike and use IC bike  in winter as it has a fairing, heated grips and hippo hands. (Remember those?) love the Zero.  Being so light and maneuverable it's perfect for the city. Had some BMS issues early on but Zero fixed everything on warranty.  Dealer and factory were helpful and knowledgable. Can't wait to see what 2016 brings.
