Lunacycle.com is a great wholesale source for 18650 cells. Quality cells from Samsung and Panasonic. Located in USA. Great tech articles too

I believe the r5 at start screen is just the revision # for the read out. To my knowledge it has no diagnostic value.

Do you have a chest freezer you converted to a fridge because it is like 10x more efficient than your fridge?

Very curious about this-- any links to expand on this?  Thanks

If anyone knows-  Thinking of buying a 2016 FXS. Bought a new 2014 also this year. Is the tax credit allowed on more than one purchase? The total for the two bikes would be about $20,000, so would $2000 be allowed on the two purchases?

What is meant by "tax credit"? You have to owe $2000 in taxes to get a credit of $2000 (effectively paying no tax) OR am I mistaken??

Showa and non-Showa suspension is the biggest consideration IMO. Test ride as much as possible. The short test I had on a 2015 (Showa) S seemed much more solid. But the suspension is adjustable on both so consider that as you test. The performance of the S is more than adequate IMO.

Great Reading- Thank You Mr. Bonkers :) I leave my Zero plugged in all the time. I believe the Zero engineers have designed the charger to not overcharge. That 100% is not really 100%- that it is a value that in no way compromises the longevity of the cells.

But if Burton's comments about over 4 volts are helpful, then where does that leave our 'leave it plugged in' strategy?

I guess my question is- How do we program our MBB (Main Bike Board) to shut off at say 98%? Is this too far off topic for this thread?  Reprogramming sounds quite 'techy'. But I would certainly enjoy learning more. Are there any threads that have this covered? Thanks

Craigslist has a search function that covers the US (Search Tempest or some such). That's how I found my 2014 S11.4 in Boise Idaho

The Phoenix Arizona dealer said there are no more 2014 FX's (anywhere) over a month ago if that's what you're interested in.

Your dealer can find out if other dealers or Zero has any stock. Where are you?

Hi Flexy- I know time flies when you're having fun, but isn't this just the start of the 2nd week? Bike at the dealer just last Friday 9/25/2015. Not trying to call you out on this- just trying to generate a little positive energy! So the dealer has been able to connect with the factory and parts are being sent. Good news! Rooting for you, the dealer and Zero.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / 2014 S 11.4 How to tell Firmware ver #?
« on: October 03, 2015, 09:31:20 AM »
I took delivery of my new 2014 S11.4 in September 2015, so that means it sat in the dealers showroom since it was delivered to them in February of 2014.  How can I find the firmware version? And what is the correct version number? (I picked it up in Boise, Idaho and brought it back to Tucson AZ) My Zero dealer in Tucson (On Any Moto) is new to Zero's so I hoped to learn more by posting here- Thanks in advance! Can I email the logs to myself and will that tell me? It's running fine, but does do the not charged to 100% (usually 95-98%)- not all the time tho. It's hot here in Tucson 100f- is that the reason (for not charging to 100%)?

Quite pleased with the bike- smooth and powerful. Suspension was setup very firm (apparently from factory) dialed it completely the opposite settings and made a huge (better) difference.

My dealer ( On Any Moto  Tucson Arizona ) mentioned that the 2015's will be demo priced for 'end of model year.' I didn't pin him down on exactly what that pricing would be, but should be a 'useful' amount. Where are you located- nice to have 3 dealers!

Frame Ground Question? The 2010 Zero S did not use the frame for a ground circuit- the 12volt stuff had a dedicated plus and minus wire. Does Zero now use a frame ground on some circuits?
