It turns into direct current by magic.

The fact that those chargers have been out for almost ten years and no one has ever posted this problem would hint it's not a design flaw itself, but a unit or charger problem.

A quick look at their US dealers and their Zero inventory east coast and west.  I only see older big road bikes and the two small dirt bikes.
The only 2026 models are the small dirt bikes.

Unfortunately most of the review videos I've seen the Zero bikes do about the worst and cost about the most.

I would hate to see them die off but if the price to demand ratio can't be fixed I don't see any other outcome.

Maybe they will just focus in Asia and EU.

Dirt bikes aren't that big on here but this is clearly the growing segment for electric motorcycles.
Very interesting features that would be great for any style bike.

Do what you want but at the very least it's a part-out bike worth at least $1k.  Hell the motor alone is worth that to someone with a project.

Everything depends on if they go back into production or not with this new group that bought them.

I think that group may have under estimated the cost to make these bikes when they bought it but we'll see what they can do.

But what he is saying is his SRS which has or came with a Powertank isn't having the problem you described.

Zeronimbus, the issue only comes from an older bike main battery with a new Powertank.  A bike that got it's powertank at purchase or very early on will be fine as all the battery cells are similar.

To the OP I'd skip it unless you have a 2024-25 bike.
I wanted the extra range but I didn't want 45 extra pounds up at the tank area.  I didn't want to pay over $1500 for 20ish extra miles either.

Now a "made to order" brand either through a dealer or online (later).
Don't know if that means dealers will just be service centers without floor models or full dealer sales setup like before.
