From what i know of/remember it has a big following in India. Many of the folks who go riding up the Himalayas are mostly Royal Enfield riders! It is known for its capability to tackle rough terrain, but not exactly off roading though.

There are lots of places where motorcycles are primary means of transportation, not hobbytime toys, and not just India.
While RE bikes need a lot of ongoing maintenance, there are places where that's more than balanced by the fact that anyone with a minimum of tools & mechanical aptitude can repair them easily.

Had my FX ‘15 for 3 seasons now, and never crashed. Ride pretty aggressively too. Did learn to watch out when on cold and wet tarmac from small skids, though. It’s really good fun :-)

My problem with that feature is that I have been riding ICE motorcycles for 56 years now and also currently own 5 of them, in addition to my Zero.  If there was a brake/regen lever on the left handlebar, I would probably accidentally use it like a clutch lever, but without a lever on the bar, I never try to do so.  I would prefer to have the regen integrated into the throttle where it can operate as both an accelerator and a decelerator using just one device. That would seem to be more natural to me.

Agree. No ekstra lever. But feather touch of existing brake levers works great imo. And feels natural too.
PS. I ride ICE bikes too.

Make it possible to update software via app or USB, please. Both to eliminate bugs and do new features[emoji6]
My Zero FX 2015 has to go to dealer to update! Arghhh!

Just split all connectors behind headlights / dash and sprayed WD40 for connectivity. And it freakin' worked!  [emoji2]

Suspension was bad, but is good now after doing a lot of changes on settings.
Every person has a different weight and idea of comfort, so use and try all the possible settings.
Takes you a few days, but result is better!

Ok, will try to work on suspension settings further. Can’t seem to get rid of the “bouncing” element.

Anybody else with same dash problem?
