Purchased in February 2019 from Hollywood Electrics. One owner. New tires installed about 200 miles ago.

Great bike, no issues. The charge tank is one of the beat features. Can full charge between an hour to and an hour and 45 minutes.

Ugh, the announcement is killing me  :o. Last year it was October 15th to announce the 2016s. Funny thing is, I probably won't buy a 2017 cause I'm happy with my 2014. But I'm liking my bike so much, I am super excited to see what is next  ;D. Can't remember a time I was so happy about something since I was a kid waiting to open a Christmas present!

They are definitely building the 2017 right now. I was at the factory this past Wednesday for a charger replacement on my 2014S and they said the couldn't give me a factory tour since they were building the 2017 model. There was brown paper taped up on some of the windows as well. The people I talked to were unsure of a release date.

Mine just failed today. I have just over 34k mikes on the bike, 2014S and it is the first time it has failed. Interesting sequence of events... There was an odd hissing sound followed by a circuit breaker trip and then the acrid odor familiar with electrical component frying. Nothing happens now when I plug it in.

Sent an email to Harlan to see what can be done. About 3 months past the 2 year warranty. I'll be interested to see if it is covered under the power pack 5 year warranty.

Anyway, charging is usually done in mid 70s to 80s at 220V.

I had a similar issue on my 2014 S. It had about 3900 miles on it at the time. My problem occurred over the course of my commute home. Every time I would release the throttle and then opened it back up, it would take longer in the throttle travel for thr motor to engage. By time I got home, the throttle wasnt engaging until the last tiny portion of the throttle travel. The next day with the battery fully charged, twisting the throttle had no result. When I moved the bike manually, the motor would make the same noise you described. There were no error codes indicate by the red triangle light either.

Anyway, long story short, a rep from zero picked it up and took it back to the factory. (I live like 2 hours away from Scotts Valley). They ran the history and discovered 18 throttle failure codes. The first two were on the day I bought it. So it appeared to be a defect from the get go. The techs at zero were cool enough to send me the bike logs - which are very descriptive. There is a time stamp next to the error codes.

From what I have read, the throttle assembly for the 2014 isn't so good. Fortunately, I have read that the 2015 models come with a more robust throttle assembly.
